Default Dwight Howard is the future

Amare was gonna be better than him, but after his injury there's not another young big man that I would put in front of Dwight. Hopefully he'll leave Orlando for a contender, which Orlando won't be until they get a better GM and Head Coach.

Long live Doc Rivers .

Amare should not be counted out yet. The guys got heart and this season will show how big it is. His body, he was younger than most how have fallen to such an injury as this and I think he will be back in full form soon. When all the chips fall and I think Amare will come on top with a better career.

What are you talking about? Brian Hill is a great coach and has this team heading in the right direction. They ended the season very well and had a double-digit game win streak until the last two games. Long live Doc Rivers? He is an average coach at best and has never made it past the first round of the playoffs. Brian Hill has guided this very franchise to an Eastern Conference title and numerous playoff appearances beyond the fist round. Hill is the best coach in franchise history. The GM, Otis Smith a fomer Magic player is doing a nice job as well. He had a great draft two years ago drafting Howard over Okafur and then trading to acquire Nelson in that draft. He also traded Cato for Milicic and Arroyo. Milicic should start at center this year. He showed that he can play by being a legitimate shot blocker and showed some nice low-post moves. The Magic should trade Dooling or Arroyo to acquire a defensive minded small forward. They also should re-sign Ariza and let Stevenson walk. He is a decent player, but wants too much money. Next off-season they will be like Chicago with a boat-load of cap room. Grant Hill's contract will come off the books. This will give them future cap room to re-sign their three-headed monster Howard, Nelson, and Milicic to long term deals. They also could lure a big name free agent from next year's more enticing market. Smith also drafted Redick to give Orlando a three point specialist to spread the floor. This was the Co-Ncaa player of the year award winner, the same award Nelson won in college when he was past on by many teams in the draft. Smith has turned Orlando's cap sitiuation around dramatically, and hire Brian Hill. He also has built arguably the best young nucleus in the league via draft and the trade market. Orlando could make the playoffs next year!

Howard is gonna be one of the top 5-7 players of the future in the NBA along with the Lebron's, Wade, Carmelo's and Bosh's.

Doc is a better coach, and I don't know if it's the same GM who made the following moves but if so, he's no good.

Traded MCcgrady away, signed an injured grant hill, then traded the Cat away, then the Franchise, what did you get out of that trade again, Granted getting Howard over Okafor is a good move, but seems to me, this guy has gotten rid of legitamate NBA talent and brought in a bunch of unprovens. I like the potential, but unless they're trying to rebuild, this guy sucks.

Doc is more of player coach. Brian Hill if more of an X's & O's coach. That's the main difference between the 2 coaches.

The GM who acquired Grant Hill & Tracy McGrady (Gabriel) did a decent job through the draft and free agency during his time in office, but not enough. Same thing with the one and done GM after Gabriel who traded McGrady to Houston and then traded Cuttino Mobley. This second GM (forgot his name) was a hockey guy with no real grasp on b-ball (thank god he's gone).

Otis Smith has done and decent job so far bringing in players. It's only his first true year as the GM of the Magic - he shared the duty with another after the hockey GM resigned. Give Otis some time. So far he's picked up players who have proven themselves at the college level through the draft, cept for the mess with Fran Vasquez. All GM's are going to have hits and misses.

As far as the topic... I think Amare will be ok. Hopefully he won't be held back by a bothersome knee during his career. Howard will be just as special. As long as Howard adds to his offensive repetoire he'll be among the top in the league.

McGrady wanted to go, nobody knew how serious Grant's injury was gona be, getting rid of the Cat would have been a good move if they had gotten someone better than Doug Christie in return, but a bad move nonetheless.

yes, Howard is the future, but Amare is too...

Howard - defense (more offensive Ben Wallace)

Amare - offence (who??? i don't know)

You're a moron, first of all this was 3 different GM's. Secondly, when Grant Hill was "the" available free agent, nobody knew his ankle was bum, every team in the league would have made that deal. Next, Tracy wanted to leave, yes the GM in charge was one of the worst in the history of the NBA, but he has long since been fired. The GM that is in place now has gotten rid of The Franchise which is the best thing that could of happened for this team. As for what did we get? Only Penny Hardaway's expiring contract to have a ton of cap room next summer. The Franchise was a Poison as the Knicks fans are finding out as we speak. And yes the goal was rebuilding after Tracy, you're a douche.

Yeah, his physical attributes are unrivaled in the league. He is the prototype for future bigs . Great draft choice at the # 1 spot.

Orlando is probably going to make the playoffs. Why in hell would Dwight leave? Orlando has two young bigs who both have the potential to be great together, in a few years Orlando will be contenders.
