I am a fan of the NFL and have always been wishing, hoping, and praying that Canada gets a damn team. Now I know what people are going to try to tell me:
1) The CFL would lose all its money and would be shut down ruining a great part of Canadian history.- Who the fck cares!!!!!?? Iight I didnt mean that, completely, But I would rather have a NFL team in Toronto than the damn argos anyday. And couldnt the CFL just be used as a d-league like it pretty much already is?
2)No stadiums.- Your trying to tell me we wouldnt be able to build a new one? You can put money into the Toronto FC but not an organization that would make you 10X more money!!?
3)Not a big enough fanbase.- Fck outta here. The Raptors fanbase is growing rapidly every year and Im sure Canada would support a NFL team 100%
The only problem I really think is a legit problem is money. It would be hard to come up with the money for a stadium and other costs, but theres gotta be someone out their who would invest in a team. Is there ever going to be a team? Why dont we already have a team in Canada after 87 years?
NFL runs on TV contracts... and if there is a canadian team, they are fearing that they will lose half the audience on a sunday because one is a canadian team and fans south of the border (U.S.) won't watch those games...
1.the nfl is adding another team anytime soon.
2. if they did the franshice fee would probly be around 1 billion dollars
3. the nfl doesnt want you to know that it is a very conservitive league and a team in canada or mexico would piss off its neo-con fanbase.
4. any team in canada would have to pay its players in us dollars that was one of the reasons that the hockey teams had to move.
