a Front Office source has said that Chucky Atkins will probably be signed as Steve Blake's replacement within 48 hours and that Denver is at the top of Eddie Jones' list.
G- Chucky Atkins/ JR Smith
G- Iverson/ Eddie Jones
F- Melo/ Linas Klieza
F- Nene/ Najera
C- Camby/ Kenyon Martin
again, JR AI and Eddie all play different positions depending on whose on the court so don't just go by my depth chart. either Reggie Evans or Najera will be traded.
still not enough defense? Chucky is the wrong man for the job?? (laker fans/memphis fans your input on his game is welcome), too much offense?? this team still won't compete with the big 3?
Haven't really solved any of your defensive problems by picking up two players who were known for defense and are now old and slow.
Probably need one more point guard, otherwise one of Atkins/Iverson needs to be on the floor at all times, and if you start them both, that can get tricky.
Evans or Najera will be traded? Feel free to take Marko Jaric for either one. That'll help your PG situation, and people always say that a big PG next to Iverson is what you want.

here is what i like:
depth - if healthy that is a very deep team...one of the better benches in the league (evans isnt even listed on your depth chart)
improved 3 pt shooting - always a weakness but that team is much improved with ai, melo, atkins, jones, jr, lk...all can hit the 3.
offense - we can score with almost any team in the league
heres what i dont like:
defense - especially the small backcourt...could be a problem although jones would help a lot
fragile frontcourt - same as last year although kmart is on his way back and should be ready to go by the start of the season
no backup pg - jr is a SG...gotta go find another pg although AI could handle the rock 10-15 mpg at least
overall a definite improved team from last year IF we do get jones and atkins. atkins sounds like we can get but jones will be probably 50-50.
can we compete with the big 3 with that squad? probably not since very few can but we will be closer than the last few years.

evans for jaric? worth considering...whats jarics deal like?
It's possible Evans will be moved, but not guaranteed. At this point, we'll probably end up with both Atkins and Anthony Carter at PG, Jones to add to our SG core, with the rest of the team staying constant.
Our biggest "addition" could be a healthy K-Mart, who would bring depth and D to the frontline.
id probably do it to round our roster out a little more. we have plenty of bigs but not enough pgs.
The issue there is that we're in the lux tax, so a little more expensive becomes a lot more expensive. It's unlikely Evans gets traded for a larger contract.

true. i still hope we can trade evans for a decent pg (even a backup).
The biggest thing I see a problem with is J.R as backup point guard. But very good point about him needing to be on his best behavior with a contract year coming up. Plus with Nene improving, and providing he stays healthy, will there be enough minutes to keep Kmart happy?
