1408 - Pretty decent.
Mr. Brooks - Trippy as hell.
Ocean's 13 - Clever, but kinda hard to grasp after watching it only once.

In the theaters or what? I've seen so many movies lately I couldn't even list them all.

Recently in the theaters I've seen:

Disturbia - Better than I had anticipated, but a straight rip off of Rear Window

Grindhouse - Planet Terror pwnd, Death Proof was meh with a few great moments

Spiderman 3 - Total and absolute crap, an abortion on film

Pirates 3 - Barely above crap

Knocked Up - Best movie of the summer

Live Free or Die Hard - Decent, didn't "feel" like a Die Hard movie though

Transformers - The more I think about this movie the more I dislike it

in the last week,

Live Free or Die Hard
Ratatouille
Transformers

in that order, lol...

Alpha Dog was an amazing movie from my point of view (watched a while back), some people didn't like it, some did but not as much... but I absolutely loved it... Spiderman 3 was a waste...

I laughed at some parts. Nothing hilarious though.

The funniest movie I've seen this year would have to be Idiocracy. Even though it came out a while ago I just got around to seeing it a few months ago and haven't laughed so hard at a movie in a long time.

I really liked Grindhouse but wasn't a big fan of Planet Terror. I thought it was a decent zombie movie. Death Proof, however, was f**king great, IMO. Kurt Russell was terrific in it and the car chases were fantastic. The only thing I didn't like was the long scenes with all the dialogue between the women. The first group of women weren't too bad but the second group of women were annoying. I thought Tarantino did a great job as usual.

I was extremely disappointed in Spider-Man 3. Definitely the weakest of the 3, IMO. Sam Raimi could have done a much better job with Venom.

I liked Pirates and didn't think it was crap like Spider-Man 3 but again it was the weakest of the trilogy.

I really enjoyed Disturbia even though like you said it was based on Rear Window.

I loved Live Free or Die Hard though. Definitely the best of the sequels, IMO. The action was great, the story was decent, Bruce Willis was terrific once again.

I still need to see Knocked Up and Transformers. I'll probably rent both of DVD later since I have little interest in seeing either of them at the show.

There are still quite a few movies I want to see this year.

License to Wed
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry
The Simpsons Movie
Rob Zombie's Halloween
I Am Legend
No Country For Old Men
American Gangster
Shoot 'Em Up

If it wasn't for the 15min+ scene where the camera just 360 degrees dollies around the girls eating breakfst I would've liked Death Proof much more. It just dragged on and on.

What is Shoot 'em Up?

I just posted the trailer for it. It's about a hitman (Paul Giamatti) going after this woman who just had a kid and Clive Owen steps in and protects them. It looks like it will be the best action movie in quite a while. Lots of guns and explosions with two really good actors.

The Last king of scotland was brilliant but I dont see why everyone was so high on forest whitaker. I mean he played him as any actor shouldve. I mean it wasnt like an absolute stunning performance. I thought the doctor was better.
