Arrow Kevin Durant went 5-17 from the field..

http://www.nba.com/summerleague2007/...eId=1520700002

...

I know summer league games don't count, but 29 percent from the field?

5/17 is bad especially for a rookie.

And they said he was impressive..

In a loss to the Mavericks.

And Oden got 10 fouls in 20mins ...

Relax, it will take them some time to get into a rythm.

Durant already has a better jumpshot and a better low-post moves than LeBron James.

Why do people start off saying "I know summer leagues dont count"...stop, pause. Why continue typing after that? Why read your entire post when you contradict yourself in the process genius??? YOU KNOW its summer league. YOU KNOW it doesnt count for shyt. Yet somehow, someway you make his performance into some form of an evaluation? Hilarious. If he shot 10-10 what difference would it make? Oh you can tell greatness, he will be ROY etc etc? You copied and pasted back stats of a boxscore. Of a summer league game at that...the first of the summer. WoW.

Durant still managed 18 points from those 17 shots, which isn't good but it isn't awful either.

Although it isn't the be all and end all of the evaluation of a player it is an interesting stat line. Even more interesting is that he got pushed around by the likes of Maurice Ager.

That doesn't say much. There are probably some White boy playing D3 ball that has a better jump shot than Lebron. Lebron is not a jump shooter.

he was getting every shot he wanted against Ager and the Mavs. More than anything, he was just missing shots he'll normally make that were rimming out along with missing a few open long jumpers.

Now Jeff Green, he got his feelings hurt by Mo Ager

I want to see a scrub shoot 10-10. Everyone will be on here calling him the most underrated player and the surprise player of the year. Claiming that all saw it first while dude probably struggles to make it to the inactive list.

The level of quality of these new generation of posters is just absolutely dismal.

On the offensive end he had his way with Ager. Some of the shots didn't drop. But he did get to the line a good bit. But you could see the talent and poise. It will be interesting to see how he will do against players his size and taller. Most of the ones guarding him were shorter. Rayshawn Terry seemed to have the best luck trying to guard him. It wasn't a bad showing at all for his first outing in a summer league game. Ager did throw a couple down on Jeff Green though. And Green did have a problem with fouls. One thing that hurt the Sonics was point guard play, there wasn't any. While Barea did a good job of running things. But again, it was against summer league competition.

Kum already beat me to it on LeBron. He was pretty bad throughout most of summer games, then had like 21/5/5 on opening night.

Yea, I busted out laughing when their point guard got called for 2 palming violations in a row, then a travel. Sheesh! I like the Sonics young talent though. I'm still waiting for Saer Sene to start getting minutes. Sure, he's probably raw and lacks Bball IQ but his numbers are downright amazing and could have him be one of the better defensive players ever with some polishing. 9'6 standing reach, 7'8 wingspan, 31 inch standing vertical . If he even figures out the timing and all, he'll be a beast
