The way the Lakers played at the end of the season was very impressive and could have shown that odom and kwame were finally getting the hang of the triangle. They made the playoffs by playing only half the season good...if they can start from the beginning then their record will be a lot better...and I also think radmon brings another dimension to the Lakers...a real threat from beyond the arc...and he will be getting those open 3's when kobe's tripled or getting a kick out pass from odom...Kwame's defense is what was more impressive than anything else at the end of the season...They all needed a year to play in the triangle together to get a hang of it so i think HELL YEA they will make it...but it wont be easy...

Dont forget also last year we beat teams like detroit and San antonio so with this acquisition of radman hopefully it can break san antonio and Detroit's defense.
Kwame needs to play like he did the last 20 games of last season in every single game this season. Lamar just has to average 16/9/5
Yes, the Lakers will make the playoffs. They still need a PG and a C but picking up Evans and Radmanovic were nice moves. Last year we only had two ligit starters and we went to the playoffs. Now we are two players away from contending if Odom ever turns into a better system player and develops better low-post skills. He will have to totally change his game from a one on one playmaker type to a SF that works hard for good low post positioning.

We improved our outside shooting with the additions of Shammond, VladRad, and even Maurice Evans. Walton should be better. Vujacic should be better. Parker should be better. I'm expecting Kwame to improve his post offense like he improved his defense last year. If he gives us at least 13 ppg, we're in good shape.
The West is very competitive, but there is no reason why we shouldn't be battling for at a 5th playoff seed. We should be better in close games. Memphis will miss the playoffs. I still don't think NO/OKC has enough to make the playoffs. Houston has their health issues and losing out on Mike James hurts them because their backcourt is still weak, with the exception of McGrady of course.
San Antonio, Dallas, and Phoenix will have better records. Utah will probably win their division. If we don't slack off, we can finish ahead of everybody else. The Clippers don't scare me. I believe Memphis will miss the playoffs. We should finish ahead of Denver, Houston, NO/OKC, and Sacramento.

Yea and you think most of these teams would take mihm...cmon mihm for harrington, wilcox, boozer, miles, and harrington sounds totally unreasonable...to get some of the players...we would hav to trade odom...which i think is not worth it...and i still think we would have a very tough time gettin to the finals...banks is the only player we could possibly get...

NO Banks now...how many guards you want on our team there is smush,sasha,farmar and williams. i guess enough PG we have for a year now. lets just keep these guys togheter for one more year and see what happens. I definetly think we wont be losing so many close games this year like we did last year.

too bad all our point guards are dirt or too inexperienced to handle a significant role....i dont believe farmar will get much playing time...phil doesnt usually give rookies much of a chance...dont even get me started on sasha...that guy has been dirt since he came on board w the lakers...yea he's got pesky defense but he will usually end up just fouling before they even cross the half court and he cannot hit a consistent open jumper...williams i dont know much about but he's going to be the newest to the triangle and i dont trust having him their at starting point...and that leaves smushy...which was a delightful surprise last season but you cant have him as your starting pg if you want really want to contend...he was a nonfactor in the playoffs...where it counted...and he will have an explosive nite one game...and then dissappear the next 3 games...he would be great as a backup to a true point...he will probably start but as it showed in our collapse in the playoffs...we need help at the point..
