4. Terry Bradshaw
5. Tom Brady
6. Troy Aikman
7. Dan Marino (he has zero rings, that is why)

anyone want to dispute it?

when he retires i am sure he will be looked at as top ten though

if he were to repeat next year he would be ahead of Namath....probably even Young.

I would put in Farve, Kelly, and Sims before I put in Moon

David Carr? He sucks. Matt Schaub is the real number 8

-Primetime- you should start a top 10 running backs, now that would spark up a thread.

he has a ring and is in your top 10 however dan marino got not ring and he's #7? ha! and by the way don't try to counter attack me with his numerous record, we all know Manning got records too which includes more TD passes in a regular season (previous holder was Dan Marino)

sh-it, I can tell you right now that thread would give me the biggest head ache ever...

I have Emmitt Smith over Barry Sanders...the common NFL fan doesn't understand that Emmitt was more well rounded...

Barry was better at 1st and 10

Emmitt was better at 3rd and short

3rd and short conversions win games...

also goal line runs were also a specialty of Emmitt's....Barry couldn't do them and was taken out of the game in the red zone...he wasn't the best at scoring TDs

also Emmitt could protect the QB FAR better than Barry could....

also Barry holds the NFL record for negative yards....that puts the team in 3rd and long situations...nopt good...

all in all Emmitt wa a better rounder football player than Barry...Barry was just a better runner.

when it is all said and done though I think LT will be viewed as the GOAT...he just needs a couple more seasons like the one he had last year...

this would be a tough list to make, for sure....i will do it in a few days or something

No reason at all for Namath to be over Manning. None. Not like he won more. In fact he only played 3 playoff games his whole career. He won one ring. His career record was 77 wins 111 losses. And only in 2 of 15 seasons did he throw more TDs than picks. Hes got 173 career TDs and 220+ picks. His career completion percentage is only 50%. Rex Grossman just got killed all year with a 55% completion percentage. Namath NEVER got to even 53%.

Manning has more MVPs, more probowls, about 16 NFL records, a way waaaay higher career win percentage, better TD numbers, pick numbers, completion numbers, and has played and won more playoff games.

Joe Namath is one of the most overrated athletes(if not things period) in history. In fact he was voted just that(#1 most overrated all time) by espn a while back.

Zero reason to be over Manning who at this point is basically Dan Marino plus a ring.
