I personally feel that you should've rated Marino higher, Primetime. I think that super bowls should only be one component you use to judge someone in terms of success. He never had the luxury of having a good running game like John Elway did late in his career to get him a couple of super bowl rings.

Steve Young should be switched with Aikman. I know QB rating isn't everything, but he does have the highest QB rating of all time. And he does have a higher completion % than Aikman.

Aikman does have 3 rings, but he did have a league MVP playing along his side.

IMO Young is underrated. His career was cut short, and considering what he did, IMO, he should be above Marino. Young was more mobile than Dan, and Dan was a 1 dimentional QB. He didn't run, all he did was pass. Young > Marino IMO.

Marino holds almost every record there is...he just lacks a ring

if Marino had even just one ring he would probably be ranked number 1 on my list....but he never won a Super Bowl.

If Peyton had as many records as Marino, and maybe oe day he will, then Peyton will move ahead of him easy.

but right now putting Marino behind Peyton would be wrong.

many people feel the same as you, in fact many people consider Marino to be the GOAT, but you have to have a ring to be top 5 on my list.

Favre is 4 ints. away from the all time int. leader in history.

all his records come from the fact that he should have retired about 4 years ago.

and right now at this very moment he is probably the worst starting QB in the NFL....I can't think of very many starters that I would put behind Favre...

putting Favre over Brady or Young would really make the list lame imo

and Young had the greatest WR in the history of the game, as well as one of the greatest defensive backfeilds ever...Deion and Hanks

Aikman was not very mobile but was probably the most accurate passer of all time...but like many he should have retired a bit sooner...even Montana made this mistake with the cheifs

Football is a sport where no matter how great a player is, so many other pieces have to fall into place. It's not Marino's fault that the front office failed to provide him with a decent RB, or that the defense was often inconsistent.

I can't argue with you...but the fact remains that he never won it all.

Tom Brady didn't play with a HOF running back and WR...

he has Moss now, but he won 3 rings with seemingly little help.

it would seem unfair for me to put Marino over him or Bradshaw, a guy who has 4 rings....I will admitt to the fact that rings play a big factor in my list, after all, it is the reason that they play the game and should be considered more important than numbers.

I wouldn't mind seeing your list though and where you have Marino
