I'm not a fan of the Sonics at all, but I know that they have some tremendous upside. Considering what these 2 teams can draft next season, I think the Sonics and the Blazers are the 2 teams with the biggest upsides in the league.

Durant has been playing the two in SL so I see him starting there next season

Also, I don't see the Sonics bringing Green off the bench considering this dude was basically traded for Ray Allen, plus if I was a GM I wouldn't want to interfere with a top 5 picks development by bringing him off the bench.

I'm not sure Green could ever play the two since he pretty much can't shoot.

The Sonics should draft Roy Hibbert next summer. He would provide the Sonics with the inside presence that the Sonics really need. And also, with Hibbert, the Sonics have themselves a very large starting line-up that would create a lot of matchup problems for the opposing team

C- Roy Hibbert 7'2"
F- Chris Wilcox 6'10"
F- Jeff Green 6'8"
G- Kevin Durang 6'9"
G- Earl Watson

we'll keep an eye on hibbert this year-- thanks

dont be surprised if swift has a breakout year though

I love Hibbert, too. He could reunite with former Georgetown teammate Jeff Green and would give Seattle a nice inside-out combo with him and Durant.

Our team are not heavily favored to make it in the NBA playoffs because of the tough Western Conference. But i predict that in less than 2 years another major acquisition the following year and Durant/Green having an NBA Experience will greatly improve our chance to be a solid team in the future.

Yeah Sonics could use a Roy Hibbert type (sorry, can't keep stressing my love for him enough). Maybe a Derrick Rose or Eric Gordon will fall to Seattle next year, too. Next year's draft class intrigues me, and it should be where Seattle strikes gold.

btw nice dp Durant

Everybody talk about KD being oversize at the SG. Isn't Tracy McGrady like
6'8 or 6'9 playing at the SG position. I think KD could be good at the SG.

Im pretty sure he has 2 years left. This coming season and the following.

He will definitely be trade bait eventually, purely because of his contract. Unless he wows everyone with an amazing, injury free season. Stranger things have happened.

Wally has 2 years left inc this year. I dont see much point in moving him now being as no-one will be offering anything decent.

on topic, my 5 would start thus:

Rid (if he's starts badly he's gone. Put West in)
Durant (let him chuck away)
Green (we're going to get pounded so get him some tick)
Wilcox (same as rid, sub collison)
Thomas (only vet, good interior D, footwork. petro maybe)

So far this the lineup Seattle has had for the first 2 games.

PG-Watson
SG-Wilkins
SF-Durant
PF-Wilcox
C-Collison

Wilkins has been putting up good numbers in the first 2 games. Collison has been good at the 5 spot. You this lineup will last for the entire season?

lineups will always change-- primarily because of injuries

i think watson is a better backup than a starter. i would rather see either rid or delonte as a starter

i have a feeling rid will be traded though.

seems like bennett is continuing to do things to alienate the fan base

trading away the washington native luke would add another brick to this wall

Now I have this, based on the two games I've seen from them.

1- Ridnour
2- Wilkins
3- Durant
4- Wilcox
5- Collison

I think West and Green would do a good job coming off the bench.
