So I finally got around to my annual watching of the Royal Rumble and then ignoring the WWE for the rest of the year. And I must say, other than the actual royal match and it's ending, the show really surprised me.
The first match between one of the Wyatt's and Daniel Bryan was a fantastic match, what was it? 30-40 minutes long and it didn't leave me bored for one minute. This is the first I'm seeing of the Wyatt's and I loved their gimmick/style. Watching Brock go ape shit was mildly entertaining, Orton/Cena sucked but that's fully what I expected.
There were a few fun surprises throughout the night as well, New Age Outlaws are back, and still winning matches. I was soo dissapointed when I heard "We got two words for ya..." "No chance!" or whatever it was their lame catch phrase is now. As well as was disappointed when no one in the crowd participated in the "Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls, children of all ages..." shtick. Kevin Nash, JBL and Corporate Kane especially were funny.
I wanna know how that Corporate Kane BS started.
The match itself was alright, Kofi always does some creative shit, a lot of young guys I didn't or barely knew made it fresh, but I don't even think I need to comment on the ending. I was having the same reaction as the fans, how WWE wants to force the boring charisma-less big man with very little actual wrestling ability on us/the fans is beyond me.
