Default WWE Signs Former ROH World Heavyweight Champion Kevin Steen

WWE Signs Former ROH World Heavyweight Champion Kevin Steen

After speaking with WWE sources, WZ can confirm Kevin Steen has signed a deal with WWE.

The former Ring of Honor World Champion has been rumored to have been on WWE's radar for quite sometime. We had previously reported that Steen was part of a try-out camp for WWE, but nothing more was known regarding the probability of him being signed.

He has now signed, and is expected to finish up his independent bookings and obligations. An exact time is unknown as to when he will report to the NXT Performance Center, but Steen is still advertised for independent shows through the month of June.

Yeah I don't think Joe was ever that agile. The execution of those moves was impressive for a heavyweight. How tall is he? Weight?

What do you bet the titles get split again when one person grabs the wwe title and another grabs the world title?

But yeah, Steen is awesome, both in-ring and mic skills.

Man, most of those great indoe wrestlers in the past decade; Danielson, Punk, Castagnoli, Brody Lee, Tyler Black, El Generico, and now Steen are or was at the big league now.

I don't know if Brodie Lee's indie career was in the same league as the rest..

This money in the bank title match looks like shit.

0-charisma Ginger Cena Sheamus
Randy Boreton again
Alberto del Rio-WTF is this shit DOLPH ZIGGLER SHOULDA BEEN THERE
Cesaro who used to be cool but they are doing their best to ruin

WHY NOT LET BAD NEWS IN THERE? BNB needs to start main eventing!

ALSO, they are starting to put Cena as the anti-authority figure that Daniel Bryan and CM Punk were. With him confronting Stephanie last week and saving the shield this week. Im sick of Cena leeching off of everyone cool and making them lame.

Zack Ryder, Bray Wyatt, now the Shield, Cena leeching for cheap pops, will it ever end?!

Also, I want Jack Swagger to face turn and feud with Rusev. It needs to happen. Please don't let Cena be the one that stops Rusev, it would be too lame.

I'm excited for Cena-Rusev. Atleast Cena wont be stealing the spotlight from people who are current and relevant.

I fear what will happen instead is Cena vs the Authority into a Cena title run. And also Cena continuing to piggy back off the Shield and turn Ambrose and Reigns in to lames.

Cena will continue to piggy-back on up-and-comers, it's the only way he's stayed relevant the past 5 years.

Steen can talk though, which Joe was never all that great at and can swap between serious/comedy fairly effortlessly. Add that he's still pretty good in the ring and he's probably got a much better shot at making it than Joe would have.

I believe Joe was offered a deal back years ago, but he took the AJ Styles route where he wasn't willing to go back to making jack all money in developmental for a shot to make the main roster when he was already making 6 figures at TNA.
