None of those guys you listed were even given an I.C. run. Matt was the only other guy that had some good feuds (Jeff, MVP, Edge) and was the U.S. champ. Chavo's had a few sucess with Eddie and Rey. I wouldn't count WWE's ECW heavyweight title as a real world title when they barely got any PPV matches for them.
They were kept on Velocity, Heat and opening Smackdown shows.
Not their fault they weren't main eventing. Doesn't stop them from being over.
Going to WWE Payback tonight! Should be a good show. Can't wait to hear the place erupt when Punk's theme song hits. Scott Hall has been posting on Twitter all morning literally right outside the Allstate Arena. I wonder what's up with that. Would be epic if he made an appearance tonight. I think he's probably just visiting friends though. But look at his Twitter account. He posted pics of the actual Allstate Arena, the Chilis right next door and the IHOP right next door.
Friggin' awesome show live! Crowd was hot all night. The place erupted when CM Punk came out. I've been going to live shows since 2000 and even seeing Austin, The Rock, Hogan live I've never heard a reaction louder than the one that Punk got last night. He's just huge in Chicago.
Crowd also went crazy for RVD's return video package.
Del Rio got massive heat last night. He's definitely turning heel and Ziggler was a total babyface. It was great. I'm also very happy that Curtis Axel won the IC belt.
Hopefully RVD will try to give a sh*t now he's back in WWE. Clearly didn't care for most of his TNA run.
Would you if you were a big time star and went to TNA? TNA blows it with everyone they get. TNA always amazes me when they get a big star and right away he's treated like just another guy on the roster. Remember when Jeff Hardy came back? Literally for just one segment the announcers hyped it up and then by the end of the night that was it. It was like he was just some regular guy on the roster and that was after coming off that really good run in the WWE.
Kurt Angle was the only guy they got it right with when he came to TNA back in 2006.
I hope some ex-WWE wrestlers were watching the reaction that video package got last night and decide to follow RVD back to the WWE.
