i say add C- Webb, we could make different offensive dimensions other than run and gun. It's gonna be more fun..

i don't know about this signing even though i loved c-webb when he was in sacramento and i still do but what u guys need is a low-post scorer and chris is more of a high-post player shooting jumpers, dishing to cutters, setting screens etc...

Thats still a very useful thing to have though. You have to remember, the Mavs don't have very many smart passers.

We still need SOMEBODY that can drive and FINISH at the basket and draw fouls. Devin Harris is supposed to be that guy but he just isnt finishing. Although his FT% has improved A LOT he still needs to learn how to finish at the basket a lot more. One, because it gives us more points and two, i hate that pissy face he makes when he screws up.

I like it
but if they start him at center your gonna regret it big time!!!!!!!
you may hate Dampier but he's a big physical shot blocker
you put Webber and Dirk at center and power forward and defensively your asking for trouble

Given the few last available talents out there, who will you choose?

1. CWebb
2. PJ Brown
3. Pavlovich

I go for CWebb !

C - Dampier/Diop
PF - Webber/Nowitzki
F- Nowitzki/ Webber/ Howard/Bass
SG - Howard/Stack/Terry/Bass/Jones
G - Harris/Terry/Barea

If webber came here, i know avery is smart enough not to start him. He would be most valuable coming in for dirk off the bench and occasionally playing side by side mid game when centers are in foul trouble or to give the other team a different look.

The last two moves I would love to see the mavs make would be:

A) sign webber with MLE

B) like ive said in other threads, orchestrate a trade of JO and other than dirk I dont really care who for. Ideally they could work something for Damp, Buck, and some of the young talent acquired in the last two years, but they probably wouldn't do anything unless it involved JHo. I'd be ok parting with anyone hat was a rookie this year or last, I'd be most hesitant to lose R.Terry. If we could also workout getting Armstrong back that would be great too.

Ideally, we'd look something like

Harris/Amrstrong/Barea
J.Terry/Jones/George
JHo/Stack/R.Terry
Dirk/C.Webb/B.Bass
J.O./Diop/M'Benga

Less Ideally, but more realistically what it would take...

Harris/Armstrong/Barea
J.Terry/Jones/Buck
Stack/George/R.Terry
Dirk/C.Webb/B.Bass
J.O./Diop/M'Benga

Yeah yeah, almost no possibility of this happening, but its my dream
