Greg Bucker is worth probably half the MLE. Not the whole thing. These salaries are starting to get out of control. It seems like almost every contract signed this season has been inflated. Jason Terry has signed the most reasonable contract. Most of the others have been off.

That is why I doubt this is for the full MLE.

Buckner is at least as old, if not older, than Mike James.

i really really hope this is false with the $$$. if not, i have completely lost faith in the ability of the Mavs brass to negotiate deals.

Buckner is a year younger than James. Hopefully it's just part of the mle. Offering Buckner that deal but not wanting to go that much on James makes no sense. I know James wanted the trade kicker and option, but still. I like getting Buck at a decent price. But if this is true, I'm baffled by this move.

Buckner is NOTTTTTTTTTTTTT a shooter. He isnt a horrible shooter or anything. He is about average but he is NOTTTTTTT a shooter. Its funny because most people keep writing about him as if he is raja bell. If he was raja, i would be thrilled right now. Since he is in fact greg buckner im just praying that the DMN is wrong about the money and the years. Its got to be the full LLE for 3 years with possible 2 more years. No way in hell donnie is that dumb.

LLE contracts cannot last longer than two years.

Look im grasping for straws. Im trying to figure out how in the hell the mavs refused to go to a 4th year on a guy who averaged 20 a game last year(im not sure that he would have been a great fit but that is a different subject) and instead have supposedly went to a conditionally guaranteed FIVE years on a guy who averaged 6.7 ppg on a team that desperately needed a 2 guard. Im looking for ANY possible way that this report could be wrong.

Their adding more fire power. That's ok though. Rockets next year are gonna be better than the Mavs.

Greg FREAKIN Buckner is not firepower. However as i said in the first page, this is great for his reputation as he will now be added to the likes of adrian griffin and Desagana Diop as guys who are supposedly all world in an attempt to degrade dirk.

I am about to go to get off but if it hasnt been made sufficiently clear, as long as it is the full mle for any number of years but definitely if it is 3 with a partial guarantee through 5, I am extremely pissed about this contract. Why donnie? Why?
