Thumbs up Why does Iverson at 32 gets praised and Ray Allen at 32 gets dissed???

Could some one explain to me why Iverson gets praised at 32 years of age, but Ray Allen gets dissed? Iverson has been hurt just as much as Ray, but everyone is still on the Iverson bandwagon....Iverson has scored alot more, but Ray and Iverson have had pretty even careers...

Their careers aren't very even in terms of accolades.

In a previous thread you said you think Iverson is garbage. So if Iverson is better than Allen, and Iverson is garbage, that means Allen is... monkey crap?

The OP brings up a good question. If anything, Ray Allen's game will "age" better because of his style. That's conventional thinking. However, Iverson isn't a conventional player. I honestly can't imagine him ever going into a big decline, because he plays with so much heart and passion, more than 99 percent of the league. Will he drop off? Sure he will. He gets banged up all the time though and comes back wheras Ray Allen was so durable the first half of his career, and NOW he's just getting hurt. People want to see how he'll readjust.

ray ray was always underrated IMO, and is even now. but he's just not iverson's class, talent-wise nor career-wise.

"I just don't like Iverson."

Nice reason. And I just don't like people who deny players' talent just because of their own personal opinion. If I hated Kobe, does that give me the right to say he's bullsh*t? No. You can't deny his talent.

By the way, nobody "disses" Ray. He just doesn't get attention.
