Question Sixth Man

Does Tyrus Thomas have a chance at the sixth man of the year award? Or will he start for us next season? Please post opinion and why

He might have a shot I think Smith starts because he's a veteran and all that but it doesn't matter who starts as long as Tyrus gets good minutes I think he's got a shot same case for Nocioni

Post Re: Sixth Man

He would really have to impress a lot of people, because the guys that win the sixth man award normally score a lot of points, not rebounds, blocks and energy. Barbosa, Mike Miller, Gordon...all scorers. I doubt he will get the recognition in his second year unless he can really come out like he played during the summer league, stay healthy, and not get in foul trouble early in the game.

I would say Nocioni has a better shot at getting a 6th man. He can put up 15 from the bench almost every night. I don't think Tyrus will be that consistant yet.

My vote would go to Noc right now because he's shown more and could easily average 16 ppg this year. Although I think Thomas will be more nba ready this year it would be too soon to expect him to be a sixth man.
