Default Next Year's Roster

What does it look like? Does Sammy Mejia make the team? What about the depth charts? Let's hear the thoughts.

I say all three rookies make the squad. Amir Johnson earns the starting spot after coming off the bench for the first part of the season.

Chauncey/Stuckey/Flip
Rip/Afflalo/Mejia
Tayshaun/Mejia/Afflalo
Amir/Maxiell
Rasheed/Nazr

Let Webber go. He can't help us win a championship.

The team looks good but we havent gotten any better we just stayed the same everybody else in the east has gotten better so we need to do something to at least keep up with the rest of the leauge. I dont think Amir will start dont get me wrong he's good but I dont think hes better than Maxiell but thats just my opinion

you think amir could play some small forward? he is a solid outside shooter and that would be an interesting big lineup with 2 guards, amir at SF, maxiell/dyess at PF and sheed/nazr at center

he and maxiell are pretty similar because they're both hustle/energy guys at this point.

the only problem is that with maxy's weight down I'm not sure he's going to be able to guard stronger PFs. He cant exactly play SF either. he just relies on his brute strength to score down low instead of post moves. he also needs to improve his defensive rebounding. his offensive rebounding is already fantastic. However, I think Maxiell might be better used as an energy guy off the bench. Possibly a sixth man of the year canidate on this squad at least. Most other teams he would be a starter.

Amir may be a little scrawny when it comes to holding his own man to man in the post but he is much quicker and a better shotblocker than Maxiell. He also seems to have a superior perimeter game to Maxiell. Joe Dumars claims he's even faster than Rip in a footrace. His atheleticism is pretty much the best in the league for his age group. He has already worked hard on a developing a go-to jump hook in the post, but he is just as capable of contributing in a Marionesque way soley off of rebounds and fast breaks. In my oppinion Amir could be an all-star if he continues to improve at the rate he has since he was drafted.

he's the fastest guy on the team. if joe D says it I beleive it. the problem with him playing the perimeter isn't speed. I'm more worried about him being away from the basket where he thrives on those offensive rebounds and putbacks. I guess you could call isos for him to post up SF's but his outside shooting isn't consistent enough for him to be a 3 at this point.

I thought I read an article about Dyess opting out a while back? In my oppinion thats the best thing for him. He needs to find a team that can actually win a championship. Our window is closed for the remainder of Dyess' career unless Amir or Maxiell sudenly blow up into all-star caliber.

There is no way Amir is starting at all next year. He'll be lucky to average 20 mpg.

what happens to these benchwarmers/tradebait?
nazr mohammed
flip murray
chris webber (not currently on the team)

i think we can make it on only the four most solid bigs we have
sheed, dyess, maxiell, amir
both of the other bigs (webb, nazr) are too slow and c-webb is too weak defensively.
we also have chieck samb...

what of the bigs?
