Derek Fisher?
Anyone find it ironic that Fisher goes to the Jazz and Boozer rumors keep flying around the Lakers?
What IF (hypothetically) that the Lakers had a deal under the table for Fisher/Boozer for Cook/McKie/Mihm?
Knowing that the Warriors wouldn't deal with a division rival, maybe Kupchak worked something out with Utah to aquire Fisher.
They keep talking about needing point guard with triangle experience. Who better than Fisher?
I think Kupchak has a little something going on in the background.

Actually....
Kupchak/Buss wanted to resign him, but Fisher wanted a starting gig. I've seen interviews with him that he said that his heart is always with L.A.

fish is staying in utah
they need a reliable guard to help with thier young pg. fish is under contract until he is 35, he is 31 now and buss doesnt want any long contracts for mihm and mckies soon expiring contracts. but we gotta get rid of the latter, he has played like 5 games in the last 5 years. talk about injury prone. i would love to see fish back in a laker uni though. he would take a charge from a frieght train! that is a real baller!

We don't need another point gaurd. If Smush improves his defense and his outside shot, we really don't need Fisher.
As far as Carlos Boozer is concerned, I would like to have a player like him on the roster. But his contract is a concern. I don't think he can play center. Also, he would take minutes away from VladRad and we need his shooting. Melvin Ely would be a better target. He will be cheaper and can be a role player off the bench.

that trade doesn't work mathmatically.

I hardly think that the Jazz will give us D.Fish (which slone loves) for Old McKie..

It's not about McKie & DFish.
they are trying to get rid of Boozer, so...
we give up Odom, but for doing so, we gotta get DFish.
