Why would any team wanna sign this idiot? Someone stupid like Isiah Thomas would sign him..

If everybody remembers, he violated his contract be driving a CrouchRocket...and had a serious injury..

Only a pro athlete can get trashed by "fans" for deciding to ride a motorcycle.

MAn he had potential. WHen he first came out, he could rebound, score, pass efficiently, and he potential to b a defensive stopper.

would have been Chauncey BIllups/Mike Bibby player. 20-5-7.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Chauncey and Mike never came close to averaging 5 rebounds a game.

Just imagine what could have been if Jay Williams had not gotten into that accident. He was a stud and just the thaught of having him and Hinrich in good health as the two best point gaurds on the Bulls would have been awesome. What of a waste of a pick it became, but when I heard it on the news I was pissed because he would have been a hell of a player. It's a shame.

IIRC, Jay W. didn't do as well as people were expecting his first year in the NBA. Maybe he would have gotten better... maybe not.

Maybe you're right, but he sure had the potential to become better in the next couple of seasons.

What i meant was he would have been at a Chauncey Billup/Mike Bibby prime level.

He was a really good rebounder, i remember his games rookie year he woul have bad games with 6 points and 4-5 assists, but he would have like 2 steals, and 4-8 rebounds.

He ought to go to Europe for 2 years or so, and then come back to the U.S.

He will get minutes and experience, and if he is healthy, he should be able to land somewhere when he returns.

There's always a need for point guards.

BTW, the Hawks don't need Williams now - last year, that would have been a good deal for him and the Hawks - but now the Hawks have Law, Lue, Johnson and Claxton, so we are set at point guard. In fact, one of the last three may be moved.
