Default Need some help from true NBA experts/historians

My brother is in a competition on another forum where they had an ALL-TIME NBA draft. I need some opinions...NBA Historians and Experts, what is the better team?

Team 1:

Bob Pettit
Rick Barry
Hal Greer
Kevin Johnson
Carlos Boozer
Rolando Blackman

Team 2:

Larry Bird
Robert Horry
Dave Cowens
Sam Jones
Manu Ginobili
Mark Eaton

It doesn't take an expert or NBA historian to know that Team 1 >>> Team 2. Skill wise, the teams are very unbalanced.

I do see one problem though, there is a pretty big difference in size in the front court. Team 1 doesn't have any big men. Bob Pettit at 6'9" and also Boozer at 6'9" is all the have with any kind of height.

If these two teams played each others in their own primes, the game would be over before halftime.

9.7/11.3 and 5.6 blocks isn't too bad. Sure he was frustrating to watch, but he held down the paint as well as anyone.

Are you going to base it on numbers or skill? Because you can't 100% declare something on a subjective matter such as skill. Some people think X player is the best ever, others think he is a bum. It's purely opinion...

Now numbers on the other hand, they are objective. But the numbers don't tell the whole story...

Rick Barry < Larry Bird
Hal Greer = Sam Jones
Kevin Johnson >> Manu Ginobili
Carlos Boozer > Mark Eaton
Rolando Blackman >>> Robert Horry

Team one by a long shot. You have 3 top 50 players in Pettit, Barry and Greer. Also throw in multiple time All-Stars Rolando Blackman and KJ and Carlos Boozer.

Team 2 also has 3 top 50 players in Bird, Cowens asn Sam Jones. But the other 3 after that make up the difference. Eaton, Manu and Horry have a total of 2 All-Star games and no All-NBA teams, while KJ, Black and Boozer have 10 All-Star games and 6 All-NBA teams.

Team two does have more titles (way more) with 25 compared to team ones 4 titles.

team 2 needs a pg. good rebounding though. if sam and manu could get the ball to lb in the high post, they'd have a chance. but overall talent goes to team 1 for sure.

Horry doesn't even have the most titles on team two, that honor goes to Sam Jones with 10.

Sam = 10
Horry = 7
Bird and Manu = 3 each
Cowens = 2

That is a good point. Are we supposed to evaluate these guys as a team on the floor or just as conglomerate talent?

Well here is Team 1's All-Star games.

Barry = 12
Pettit = 11
Greer = 9
Blackman = 4
KJ = 3
Boozer = 1

So team 2 has the more championships with 25 while Team one has the most All-Star games with 40 compared to wht else, 25.
