I had to send the guy who does the race 2 the MVP thing an e-mail about hwo Brooks was averaging 50% from the Field and from 3, and shooting so high from teh FT line, and averaging over 7 assists, and the team was winning or close.
And now look, he's at the top, I said he needs 2 not worry about big names and 1 hot game from Marco Belinelli.
Brooks has probably been the most consistent player from what I have seen, everyone else started slow and then got hot.
It's nice 2 see him getting some props, I know everyone in Houston didn't like the pick, but he'll be your future PG.
I wish the Cavs had him, I'd trade Daniel Gibson for him.

i hope your right about brooks, but this IS the summer league. i actually liked the pick over the three forwards that were still available (fazekus,mcroberts,big baby)

Exactly, though Brooks is looking good now, JL3 and Novak both looked solid last summer and look at them in the actual league.
I think Brooks will be like Head in his rookie year a pure catch and shooter of the bench.
lol no way, Head played that way bc he does not have ball handling skills. And people need to stop comparing Brooks to Lucas bc they are not the same player. Brooks is a better at shooting, passing, defense and I don't recall Lucas putting in an alley oop. Brooks has much more potential, upside and athletic ability than Lucas.
Seems impressive. But, still, he was considered their bail-out player in most of their games. He's was practically the one that did all of the dirty work. No one else, really. Ron Lewis played like garbage, doubt that he'll even be considered one of the candidates we'll likely take home this season.
It was all him, basically, so don't mind if i'm not really surprised.
