Damn,I hate to say it..

Even Kobe is better than AI...

too many shot attempts...too many turnovers...too unique to build a useful supporting squad around him...based most of his game around his quickness..

But I like him..

probably top 80-100

IMPORTANT NOTICE
The last two selections; Scottie Pippen (26) and _____ _______ (27) got in with realy no reasoning or explanations from the posters to why they voted for that certain player.

We're not saying write an essay, but give a little reasoning or explanation why you voted for that player, another poster can see it and agree or counter it, making these threads so much more entertaing and insightful.

Ok, my vote goes for Elvin Hayes. Here's why;

#6 alltime scorer-he is the highest from this list not yet selected by ISH
#4 alltime rebounder-he is the highest from this list not yet selected by ISH
#3 alltime minutes per game-he is the highest from this list not yet selected
#4 alltime minutes per game-he is the highest from this list not yet selected.

Do the right thing and vote for Elvin Hayes.

or you could just look at selenium's superior post and do the same.

I guess I got Gary Payton aswell. He's one of my favorite players ever, but I was thinking he would end up somewhere in the 30's. But since he's getting so many votes, I guess it's a good time for me to vote for him.

Also, sorry if I missed an explanation in an earlier thread, but will Arvydas Sabonis end up being on this list? or is it just NBA/ABA careers?

That's the same thing with Payton. Tons of NBA milestones and top leader in many stats and has all-NBA teams and All-Defensive teams, etc. But people keep bashing him about no Finals MVP's or regular season MVP's.

If your reasons for Hayes are reasonable, so are people's reasons for Payton.

I agree, Payton is the highest stat leader not yet selected in steals and is second best not yet selected in assists. I give Hayes' ring more merit because he was really the #1 option in Washington whereas Payton was a #3
option for Miami. That being said, I think it's a close race due to Payton's outstanding showing in that series and his incredible overall career. Maybe if Payton appeared on "dancing with the stars" he would be above Drexler right now.

I'm sure Payton could bust-a-move if he put his mind to it.

If not, he would trash talk his opponents and make them mess up their steps.
