and yet we had 2 players out 4 season the first time we went to the playoffs when everyone knows if they were here we would have beaten Washington, and 1 player out this season and yet yall were 8th seed last year and we beat the team that eliminated yall this year twice when yall only beat them once.

considering the offseason moves and comparing this years team to last year, yes. i think the only way is up from. if u'll review

05-06
PG: Hinrich/Duhon/Pargo
SG: Gordon/Piatowski
SF: Deng/Noch/Tim Thomas (half year)
PF: Othella/Sweets/Songaila
C: Tyson/Allen/Schenscher

06-07
PG: Hinrich/Duhon/(FA signing)
SG: Gordon/Sefolosha/Griffin
SF: Deng/Noch/Khryapa
PF: PJ/Sweetney/Thomas
C: Wallace/Allen/(FA signing)

there is a noticable additions to everyposition that helps us and is better than last years roster. So I'm not saying that if we dont get ot the championship the season was a failure, i am just saying that I am very excited for this upcoming season.

Default Who Cares About Offensive Output from Low Post

Look at the 96, 97, 98 Bulls... Dennis Rodman, Luc Longley. You don't NEED two big men that can score. That's such an easy thing for people to say: "you need offensive big men to win".

I'm not saying the Bulls will win the title, but they have a better chance than most teams in the league...

Top 5 Teams in 2006-07 (by Record)

5) Bulls
4) Cleveland
3) Phoenix
2) Miami
1) Dallas

And NO team will win 60 games this year...

Default And Detroit...

Detroit will roughly 50 games this year. Big Ben, after all the Defensive Players of the Year, after the title, after the 64 win season last year, is STILL underrated.

Here's what he does on every play:

Plugs the middle, great weak side help defense, leading to turnovers, leading to easy transition buckets, leading to end of the quarter gaps, leading to wins.

AND PLEASE DON'T SAY HE HAS TEMPER/EGO PROBLEMS!!! He got in one argument with Flip Saunders (Mr. run-the-team-into-the-ground/no rings) that was plastered all over SportsCenter for two weeks. THAT's what people remember. No one remembers Chauncey Billups telling Flip Saunders to go f&%k himself in game 5 against Cleveland. EVERYONE on that team didn't always agree with Flip. In fact, during the season, everyone on the team had a talk or two with him...

So the Spurs arnt a top 5 team???

Its easier to cover up a lack of post scoring when you have Michael Jordan and scottie who could dominate a game if there centre was 5 foot tall. Thats why Rodman and Longley were enough to get the job done. The current Bulls dont have a Jordan and they dont have a Pippen or any other player capable of filling the void in the middle.
Dont get me wrong I hope they win it all, but they need a decent post guy to balance the team, you can survive without one but it would make them a better team. And just think how much it would help Ben Gordon out.

Default A little skewed???

I think that the Spurs time has passed... That was a HUGE loss to Dallas this year, very crippling to the pysche of that team. Tim Duncan is getting A LOT older, like Shaq, his numbers are slipping. You can't mess with the foot...

Plus, Nazr Mohammed is gone, he's better than Francisco Elson. Horry is getting A LOT older, Van Exel will probably be gone (he's old)... Manu's still injury plagued.

That team, this year, will win low 50s... Stamp that and send it in.

Other than that, you have to be crazy if you think that Detroit will win a lot. Ben Wallace was the heart and soul of that team. He made everyone apear better. They'll win low 50s, maybe duck below 50.

Please, give me reasons why you pick how you pick...

Hey Tim Duncan is only 30 dont write him off yet... His foot will be better next season and the Spurs are still the team to beat and will probably win it all. You can stamp that and send it in.

Sure. The West is still king. It pains me to say it but it's true.

I also figured Duncan would slow down about now but go back and look at his performances in the Mavs series, they were a hairs breadth from advancing, would've if Manu had'nt fouled Dirk for that crazy and-1 when they were up 3 late.

Duncan had maybe his best ever playoff series, he put up 32.3 ppg 11.7 rpg and 2.57 bpg. Awesome numbers, the lack of showing by the rest was what hurt them, Ginobili was well below par. I'm sure he'll get it right again..

They still have at least 2 more god years left.

The SUns have potentially the best starting 5 in basketball, Amare, Diaw, Marion, Bell and Nash is a scary lineup. KT, Barbs, Banks and Jr Jones makes an OK bench (better than last year)...their a juggernaut in the regualr season, just look at how well they did last year without their most dominant player. Hopefully Amare will regain fitness and form and they'll have their best ever shot at a title....their window is closing the older Nash gets.

We're talking regualr season right? Sure they will. Booked. The Heat were given the '06 title. I don't see them winning the next one.
