Limewire was always a drag for me too.

If you're an ******* who only listens to ******* music and are just looking for like single Tool, Godsmack, or 50 Cent tracks, I guess it's good for you, but I have to download the whole album, and the stuff I like tends to be more obscure.

Well if you want albums obviously you aren't using Limewire or any of its ilk. Albums you want to use Torrents. But for single songs quickly I don't think you can beat Limewire. And it's not just for popular stuff. They got the best selection of any p2p I've used.

It's only good for people who want full albums.

Depends on what trackers you use. OiNK will maximize your download bandwidth on almost each and every torrent they have. Another benefit of OiNK is their quality standards. You aren't going to find poorly ripped 128kbps MP3s there like you will on Limewire, and the place is actually a bastion for bit-for-bit identical CD copies if you're into that kind of thing(I am in regards to certain albums).

And if you're only into singles, you can download them in like 15 seconds there, all you have to do is use a torrent client that allows you to selectively download.

My kid brother used to use Limewire all the time, then I invited him to OiNK and now he wonders why he ever even bothered with it.

True.

But I don't understand how anyone would want to listen to just a song off an album instead of the whole album. I can understand if it's something like Tool or Disturbed or some other crappy band, but even then you shouldn't be listening to them anyways.

The first 2 albums I looked for there they don't have. But OiNK has them.
