if rudys 6-8 1/2 and charlies 6-11 how come gay looks bigger in that picture (its another roy / gay picture debate time)

also, it's cool that if we pick either Gay or Aldridge, we either end up with a good friend of Bosh or a good friend of Charlie V, both of which have experience playing with the other. weird, but fortunate I think
MY dream draft is Aldridge with the #1 pick. The Raptors need someone bigger then Bosh to play centre and I'm tired of seeing some no talent scrub being the centre because they are big. Alridge will hit the open shots he is given. The Raptors should bring him in for his shot-blocking (decent) and his rebounding (little above decent), but his offense will be important too.
The player that I REALY, REALLY, want is Rudy Gay. He makes little sense at #1 for the Raptors, but I think he will be the one player out of this draft that will be a star. I think the Raptors should trade for another pick to get Gay, even if it means trading CV3 as long as the Raptors get back a PG as well. Villa + resigned Mike James for 6th (Gay's rights) and a re-signed Marcus Banks would be amazing.
I know what you mean ARoc, Gay is the one true star that could come from this draft, and in a way Toronto needs that. Yes we could get a solid center, but look at the league, most of the successful teams have star guards/swingmen. If Toronto got Gay, they'd not only have a guy who could be a huge star in the media, but could bring more balance to the team offensively, especially considering the new rules favouring perimeter play.
Gay's defense is also quite competent and if he worked at it could be very good, and a swingmen duo of MoPete and Gay would be very tough defensively.
honestly I would consider taking Gay at #1 if a deal wasn't available, because a) The Bobcats IMO will take him, and b) this is the guy that was supposed to be the #1 for over a year, and the talent is certainly still there, his stock just dropped because the stock of others has risen due to tourney play, etc.
