Default What turned you onto the NBA.

Indulge in reminiscence haha
Growing up in the 90's, and living in a family who loved the Chicago Trifecta - MJ was the man that led me to watch the NBA night in and night out. Jordan wasn't the only one though, I'll never forget those names I grew up with - Ewing, Olajuwan, Richmond to name just a few

You guys?

I started playing basketball in a league, and all the other kids knew a lot about the NBA so I wanted to get into it too. I found out I liked it, and now I love it.

The Lakers 3-peat, when I was a kid turned me on to the NBA. Or probably just Kobe.

Steve Nash turned me on. :)

Seriously, though, just watching from a young age since 8 and loving shaq. then becoming a smarter fan and finally realized Shaq couldn't lift Pluto with one hand. and i played a lot and i love the sound of the dribble on the floor. I fell in love with the game, started learning about it, and i tried to talk about ball with people in the real world, which was no use. Then i found ISH finally.

My dad has had season tickets to the Mavericks since 1980. I was going to Mavs games while I was in the womb.

Since this isn't the NBA forum, I'm assuming you are talking about the National Band Association.

What turned me onto the NBA is my uncle; he always played instruments while I was a kid and he taught me how to play the Cello. I have been playing it ever since and I'm glad to tell you guys the NBA has nominated me for the Most Improved Musician.

Great thread buddy

Since their last three Most Valuable Musicians were latino; now they got their hands up in the ghettos looking for the next Carlos Prieto.

When the Kings moved to Sacramento in 1985 my dad took me to my first basketball game. I was hooked from then on.....no matter how terrible they were/are!
