Default question to the people who live in apartments.

this is my first time moving into an aparment, and I was wondering if I play my acoustic guitar or watch tv at late night would disturb my neighbors?

Yes - common courtesy. RV park rules - quiet after 10.

I always say **** em. If it's an acoustic guitar it shouldn't be a problem. Hooking it up to an amp at 3am on a monday probably would be. But I live in an apartment and I'm usually up until at least 4am every night, and I always watch TV and play music. As long as you're not cranking it up and banging on the walls, it won't be a big deal.

Talk to your nieghbors and find a medium.

I live in a college town so loud is kind of expected, but my roommate have had the cops called on us for playing guitar too loud. If you talk to your neighbors first, they'll be much more understanding when you do wake them up at 2 a.m.

Lol hell no my friend lives in an apartment building. He had these Nerf guns and we were chasing each other around busting each other in the face.. Its like 2 in the afternoon. After a while his old lady neighbor comes up and rings the doorbell like 5 times. No one answered the door, and she left... But damn its 2 in the afternoon!!! Wtf.

Use common sense. Would you like if someone else played music at full blast daily for hours at a time be it day or night? Probably not.

In your specific case I think an acoustic guitar should never bother anyone 'cos they aren't that loud. I watch TV late at night/play games etc, just keep the volume down a bit lower than you would in the day.

It really depends on what your apartment complex is like.

1300 i think for a 3 bedroom located in a suburb in dallas,tx. so do you think its better for noise suppression if you live in a mini townhouse style apartment rather than traditional ones that are like 12 stories high?

The further away from your neighbors you are, the better. I live in a loft apartment so there's noone next to me on either side, which is really ****ing nice.

we're moving to a different city(frisco,tx) and we didn't sell our house yet, so before we can move into a house we're staying in an apartment.

so in what ways is frisco boring?

God that sucks. I hope you're not moving from Dallas out to Frisco. Frisco might be the most boring place on the planet. Plus you're like an hour from downtown.
