I'd take A.I. over Gil at this point. Until Arenas improves his shot selection and fg% Iverson is better.

Switch Iverson and Arenas and it's fine.

Iverson and Arenas seems to be what the debate could be on this thread.

Yo, I'm a HUGE Dwyane Wade fan ... bu to rank him the best combo guard in the NBA today is absurd. Allen Iverson since 1998 has been the best combo guard in the league. Meaning he's a natural PG or has the body of a point guard, but a player who plays SG at an exceptional level with a "shoot first" mentatlity. Though D. Wade is only 6'4, which is alittle undersized for his position, he is still naturally a shooting guard. I don't even consider Wade a combo guard. When I think of combo guards, I think of Allen Iverson, Baron Davis, Stephon Marbury, Gilbert Arenas. Wade is a solid shooting guard. He rarely if ever plays PG anymore. He only served at that position for a short time his rookie year, and even then he still played more like a SG. Iverson just may be the best combo guard of all-time.

Wade plays pg as much as Arenas plays sg.

No, he doesn't. Don't confuse isolation plays as being a point guard. Wade's objective is to score, and he has a SG's body. He's not a combo guard. He's a SG. Though if neccessary he does have skills to play the one. Arenas on the other hand is a PG with a scorer's mentality. Big difference. Arenas looks to score before getting others involved. And that's kind of where the term combo guard came from. Someone who isn't really supposed to have the outlook of a scorer based off their physicality.

Wade plays point guard at times.

I remember in some lineups that Wade was the PG. especially this year when Payton and Williams had injuries.

Wade could be more of a PG. His natural position is just a shooting guard. His mindset is shoot-first and pass-second.

Uhhh, doesn't that just mean he's a scoring point guard? I don't understand how this would make him a "combo-guard"

Arenas came out of college as a Combo Guard i believe.

chauncey billups came out of college as a combo guard and played shooting guard for the Wolves.

Wade mostly plays PG in the later 4th quarter in the clutch so he can run the offense. Otherwise, he's playing SG for pretty much all of the game. Because he handles the rock a lot and is a guard, doesn't make him a point guard.
