Arrow Most Untouchable Individual Records Of All Time In Sports

Ok this topic has been done hardly ever which is suprising to me. I will give you two without thinking too long about it that I think are the least likely to ever get broken.

Daryl Sittler- Toronto Maple Leafs- 10 points in one game.

Joe DiMaggio- New York Yankees- 56 game hit streak

One that I think is very close to being untouchable is Eric Gagne's 84 consecutive saves.

Just keep on adding them. Maybe we can come to a definiteve list in the end.

Scott Skiles (Orlando Magic) - 30 Assists in a single game.

Not too positive about this one. Eh..

Wilts too.

Is that 10 goals or 10 points? Either way, I think that one will be safe till the end of time.

10 points. With the way the game is played today, it will never even be sniffed. I can't see anyone ever getting past 6 points anytime soon.

What do you mean by the way its played today?

I thought the NHL was trying to increase scoring? If anyone can do it, its obviously Crosby

Don Bradman - Cricket
batting average 99.94
next best ~63

imagine a basketballer averaging 50ppg for their career compared to the next best averaging 30ppg and you'd get an indication of how good he was.

John Stockton - 15,806 assists

The closest is 10,323 (Mark Jackson). The difference between them is 5,483 assists, which alone only 33 players have ever achieved.

Just Fontaine
a French striker who scored 13 goals in the worldcup of 1958.
The nearest someone got to that in the past 30 years was 6 goals, less than half.
It will never be broken.

I don't think Kobe's 81 is that unbreakable. Wouldn't suprise me if Melo broke it one day.

Ripken and Favres consecutive games played streak.

Miguel Tejada was the closest one there but took a pitch the hand and broke something.

Playing as many games that Favre has in a row is crazy.

Stockton's Assist and Steal records.

Why do you say the Hit Streak is so tough to break? I always hear of players on long hit streaks, I mean at least players are coming comparable, no one is even close to Stockton's Records.

Also, I don't think anyone will be dominant enough to score 100pts again.
