Chris Paul? Ok he's a point guard, but Chris Paul isn't any better than Kobe Bryant.

Peja S? I don't follow him, but all I know is that he takes three pointers.

Luke Walton was putting solid averages in the regular season before taking an injury. Odom could have made the all star, if he didn't get injured. Kwame Brown was putting up 9.0 ppg, 7 Rpg, 2 apg, 1.4 bpg, and 1.2spg before getting injured.

The Lakers can play without Kobe, done before. the lakers are 3 wins and 2 losses without Kobe in the lineup.
Odom is a SF,Tyson is a C
Odom has some poor defensive numbers,0.9 stls,0.6 blocks but isnt he 6ft10
Chandler averaged 1.8 bpg(triple that of Odom) and he's 2 inches taller
Odom is a good rebounder racking in 9.8 per game, but Tyson ****s on that with his 12.4 rebounds per game

Odom every season could have made the all star team, but has never

The Lakers are the second worst team in the NBA without Kobe

Injuries, injuries...every team supposedly has been "decimated" by injuries. Injuries are a part of the game. Every team has them. How many games did Kobe miss last year? Odom? I'm too lazy to look it up.

It sure is debatable. No way I'm saying the Lakers are WAY greater than the Warriors. But, the Warriors don't have a Kobe. Kobe is a take over the game guy. Clutch last second game winning shots guy. Carry a bunch of misfits to the playoffs kind of guy.

Kobe + a bunch of NBA D-Leaguers = playoffs. Which is close to what it is now...

Plus, the Warriors lost J-Rich. The Lakers have Fisher, and he has one more 0.4 shot left in him.

IMO warriors current roster is quite a bit better than lakers.

kobe, odom, walton and fisher aren't better than davis, harrington, jackson and ellis. just no way. they've got ideal guys for their system - while you don't really. and they actually got out of the first round.

season will tell us who's right.

Lol, the Los Angeles Kobes have always made play off when Mr. Bryant average 30+ PPG.

No, they most definitely are not.

Sure, Odom is a better player than Chandler but David West is more comparable to Odom. And they're pretty much equal.
While Chandler is MUCH better than anything the Lakers have at center.
And comparing Odom's D to Chandler's? LOL.

He doesn't have to be Kobe. He's a great player in his own right and with the Hornets fire power he surely will excel.

Yeah, well...he's kinda like...good.

Keep telling yourself all that stuff. Mo Pete is better than Walton.
Odom and West are equals. Chandler is better than anything what the Lakers have at center. There's Peja. Bobby Jackson and Pargo, their backup PG's are better than pretty much everyone on the Lakers bench.
And then there's still Paul.

That team is deeper than the Lakers and all of their starters are quality NBA starters. They don't have any backups starting for them. The Lakers have 3.
Think about that for a second.

Odom and Chandler cannot be compared.

By the way adress chandler blocks per game and where do you get odom is a better rebounder from? Chandler was one of the league leaders in rebounds last year along with blocked shots.

And I know you are not saying that if Kobe went down with an injury the Lakers would win more?

I am not so sure if the Lakers would win more if Kobe went with an injury. then again, the Lakers have Evans to fill the SG Spot, which Evans does fine at.

Rosters:
PG-Baron is better than Fisher,Crittenton, and Farmar
SG-Kobe is better than Ellis,Pietrus, and Belinelli
SF-Odom is better than Jackson,Barnes, and Harrington
PF-Biedrins is better than Kwame,Cook, and Radmonovic
C-Bynum is better than whoever GS has playing this position

Lakers:3 Warriors:2
Warriors are deeper and have actually made it to the second round, even if it was a fluke, the fact remains the Warriors made it to the 2nd round

The Lakers barely made the playoffs last year, and have not improved over the Summer, while other teams have.

Bowen doesn't have those stats either, but defense is staying on your man. and he is good at that.

let's put it this way......Kobe is arguably the best player in the L.

Let's leave it at that.

warriors team is actually more than sum of its parts.

and you'll have a very hard time convincing me that this lineup:

biedrins
harrington
jackson
ellis
davis

is worse than this:

kwame
whoever
walton
bryant
fisher

Bowen actually prevents his man from doing more than just scoring. he takes them out of their comfort zone.

Odom is never talked about when it comes to the word defense.
