Default Lakers/Hawks/Pacers Trade Idea

Atlanta Hawks
Trade: Josh Smith, Tyronn Lue
Receive: Ike Diogu, Javaris Crittenton, Lakers 1st Round Draft Pick

They get rid of star Josh Smith but receive Ike Diogu to help give support in their small front court and Javaris Crittenton who helps alleviate their point guard issues. They have plenty of wing men to make up for Smith's departure. They also receive a future 1st round draft pick from the Lakers. This trade makes them a deep team with a great future.

Depth Chart:
PG - Acie Law / Javaris Crittenton / Anthony Johnson / Speedy Claxton
SG - Joe Johnson / Salim Stoudamire
SF - Marvin Williams / Josh Childress
PF - Al Horford / Ike Diogu
C - Zaza Pachulia / Shelden Williams / Lorenzen Wright

Los Angeles Lakers
Trade: Andrew Bynum, Kwame Brown, Lamar Odom, Javaris Crittenton, 1st Round Draft Pick
Receive: Jermaine O'Neal, Josh Smith, Darrell Armstrong, David Harrison

The Lakers receive O'Neal and Josh Smith for immediate help to keep Kobe satisfied. They also receive veteran leadership in Darrell Armstrong and a big body in David Harrison.

Depth Chart:
PG - Derek Fisher / Jordan Farmar / Darrell Armstrong
SG - Kobe Bryant / Maurice Evans
SF - Josh Smith / Luke Walton
PF - Jermaine O'Neal / Ronny Turiaf / Brian Cook / Vladimir Radmanovic
C - Chris Mihm / David Harrison

Indiana Pacers
Trade: Jermaine O'Neal, Ike Diogu, Darrell Armstrong, David Harrison
Receive: Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom, Kwame Brown, Tyronn Lue

The Indiana Pacers receive both Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom, Kwame Brown's expiring contract, and another expirer in Tyronn Lue.

Depth Chart:
PG - Jamaal Tinsley / Tyronn Lue / Travis Diener
SG - Marquis Daniels / Kareem Rush
SF - Danny Granger / Mike Dunleavy / Shawne Williams
PF - Lamar Odom / Troy Murphy
C - Andrew Bynum / Jeff Foster / Kwame Brown

Terrible trade. The hawks give away their 2nd best player for an unproven undersized forward who is weak on D. they also give up a veteran expirer for too little. The hawks aren't shopping Josh Smith and if they wanted to they could get a much better deal than Ike Diogu.

I can't see LA getting Josh Smith and Jermain O'Neal for basically Odom & Bynum.

for all bad trades

here's another one

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/feature...3~13&te=&cash=

Indy gets Bynum and Odom

Denver gets one young talent, a Europe 3pt shooter and a big expire
and if Denver doesn't like them, they all come off the book

Because Diogu isn't an undersized PF?

I think the Hawks are fine in the frontcourt, just very young like the rest of their team.

Outside of the Bulls and Suns, I think I'm jumping on the Atlanta bandwagon. I love their team.

Not only that but then we would have 5 pgs..Law, Critt, Salim, Speedy, AJ...four of which could legitimately start. And we would be trading our second best player for 2 players who probably
wouldn't start

Terrible trade for the Hawks. Josh Smith is BY FAR the most valuable thing in this part of the transaction, it's not even close.

Diogu isn't anything special and the Hawks already have several players in the frontcourt who will be better this year (Horford, Zaza, Williams). Crittenton is living off summer league hype and nothing more right now and if this entire deal were to go through, the Lakers 1st rounder would be near useless as they would easily be a top 10 team in this league.

This is a ridiculous deal and is nothing more than a "let's help the Lakers and ignore how badly we screw over the other teams" trade.
