I think Steve Nash. We all saw what happened when he was out for a few games last season, the team went,like, 2-3. Phoenix needs the playmaker that Nash is to make the offense work. They have the new picks and the Guards they've have that can score at will.

They have a lot of firepower, all that would be missing is a sense of direction.

your an idiot!!!!! they played a whole year with out that bum! and they had a 50+ win season and did exactly the same thing without him that they did with him!


most ppl wil say nash and i agree but barely anyone realizes wat marion does for this team [yess marion is a good player and in a diff system he wouldnt be so great, but the fact is he is playing in this system and his contributions are HUGE the 15 pts he gets off only hustle plays like off reb cutting to get open so nash doesnt TO, the REBs 1 of 2 only real defensive threats

marion hides all the ugly sides of phx! very unappreciated!

Nash without a doubt. Amare and Marion alone would have nowhere near the success as a Nash + Marion or Nash + Amare. Barbosa is a non factor.

Nash obviously, but that is too easy.

Outside of Nash, Stoudemire for sure for the reason listed above (no one over 6'8")

When Amare was out a couple years ago, it was a different year (obviously). The West is much bigger and better now. Diaw also had his career/free agent year, which he's come nowhere close to duplicating.

If Amare were to get injured, their depth chart at PF/C would be

Diaw (undersized against West bigs)
Marion (undersized against West bigs)
Sean Marks (sucks)

There's no way they'd get out of Round 2, yet again. Marion would have to guard boozer against the Jazz, Nene against the Nuggets, Tim Duncan on the Spurs, which just won't work.

no your an idiot. at that time the suns actually had a couple big men to fill in when amare was injured. now who do the suns have? pat burke?

suns fans also totally overrate marion. they totally overrate his defense and he also chokes big time in pressure situations. his shooting is also totally unreliable even though nash sets him up for many wide open jumpers.

The system they run makes the PG the most important and influencial player on the floor most of the time. Most PG's don't have the ability to do what Nash does for his team, but nontheless...it's Nash by default.

They don't even have him. They are SERIOUSLY hurting in big man depth, which is why they are trying to court P.J. Brown big time.

Sean Marks is going to get more playing time this year than last year and that = a worse Suns team. If Amare (or even Diaw) get injured, they'll be hurting bad.

I really have no clue why Barbosa's there? He's good but Bell can equally take his spot. Amare by far. Barbosa and Bell could hold down for Nash... or sorta close.
