Marion...that guy is sooooo underrated.

Yes Nash is mvp and floor leader and clutch

and yes amared is body down low with great offensive skill and explosiveness

BUT Marion is the KEY to that team;, hustles, rebounds, good defender, gets stats that dont show up on the scoreboard, and without him Nash wouldnt have gotten mvp those two times.

if you don't believe that the answer to this thread is either nash or amare then you are an idiot.

i already said nash is obvious! and diaw filled 85% of what amare brings!!!! i HATE the suns, but look at all the games they played last year with out Marion, ya they SUCKED [they suck with out nash too] but its alot easier then amare

chokes in pressure situations???? what about game 6 in the playoffs 2 yrs ago where he grabs the OFF reb??

and ok so they trade kurt which makes amare more needed they can just as easily grab another "tall" player... they have proven to win with out amare and the argument that diaw had a1 good yr b/c of contract is BS he just filled the void that amare left, when amare came back he wasnt able to be fitted

again be4 u respond back to this with ur load of crap, go check the very few games marion missed and see what the outcomes were, maybe ull do us all a favor and post them too.... =)

OVER-rated and overpaid.

Maybe not overrated, he is what he is.

Gets rebounds and plays good defense.

Can't create his shot, is a bad three point shooter, and from what I hear bad in the locker room (hence the constant trade rumors with his name in them).

As far as he goes, he had a subpar year last year as well. I don't expect the Suns to even re-sign him when his contract is up.

Is this a serious question?

Nash.

They made it to the WCF two seasons ago without Amare...

cosign

yes nash was always just good got his 2 allstar selection had a good shot, jus needed the rite system and players..

and although u can say marion is over paid, NO way can anyone say he is over rated! no1 even rated him be4 this thread lol just b/c the only shot he can creat on his own his a floater from the FT line [killed me to see him make it ar the end of a 24 sec shot clock against my lakers] he does all those things listed above ..and just b/c he doesnt create his own shot his only real fault, can u blame shaq for having a bad 3 pt shot?? NO b/c thats not his role and its not marions role to create its his role to finish!

They played two games without Marion last year. one was a 25 point win and one was a 5 point loss on the road on a back to back.

And a player can't come out of no where, have a good (not great) year, get a nine million dollar contract and disappear. He came into camp out of shape and never recovered. From the Amare year, Diaw dropped off only four minutes of his playing time and he scored under 10 points, under 4 rebounds per game. Under 10 points and 4 rebound in 31 minutes? I don't care who you are, that isn't very good, especially in the Suns offense.

Nash in Marion in their ultra primes.

Diaw a career year.

Great bench play from Tim Thomas.

West was smaller.

THIS year is much different, especially considering their lack of size.

Wow.

Im flabbergasted that not only was this question even asked, but there's actually some dispute about it apparently.

Maybe the two time mvp who runs the entire team would be the answer?

That's already a given, but outside of that, who would you choose?

the thing with diaw was, he was filling in 2 roles 1 by amare and 1 by joe johnson

jj played the pg wen nash sat out he was the distributor he had the ball alot so the next year with out amare there was more time for diaw to play the point forward at times and jus forward with nash on the floor

i change my position from nash and marion to MIKE DANTONI!!! give the formet coach of the year credit, everyone talks about how amazing nash is [why wasnt he amazing in all those years in nellys highspeed game? with dirk and a prime Micheal finnly?]

dantoni gave nash the keys to the HOF

they both compliment each other, perfect fit
