I say Amare. If Amare was injured the Suns would basically have no one above 6'8".

Dude, do most people on ISH have selective or short term memory or what? Amare missed all of 06 and the Suns went to the WCF and won 52 some games and gave the Mavs a scare in the WCF as well...

Why is this question posted in the first place. It's obvious the answer is... Barbosa... haha, jk. Whoever doesn't answer with Nash to this question is a a dumbass. The Suns played a whole season without Amare. And whoever said Shawn Marion anchors the Suns, stfu. Shawn Marion is the most overrated player in my opinion. Replace him with Corey Maggette and you pretty much got the same impact.

Nash. The whole entire game plan and roster is built around Nash.

like people have been saying, amare is more valuable to the team now than he was years ago because their depth up front is sorely depleated, but i still think nash is the more crucial piece to this team. i can see where the marion fans are coming from because matrix fills a lot of gaps in the team's overall weaknesses, but imo at the end of the day that teams identity and it's strength flows from nash's ability to control the pace. really though they probably can't afford to lose any of them at this point. the suns are like a high octane sports car. remove amare and their chassy falls apart. remove marion, and their transmission is basically shot. remove nash, and they don't have an engine or a driver. that's my take.

u can tell the people who actually know what they are talking about. if you say someone besides nash, you should seriously limit the amount u post on ISH.

i say nash. he's pretty much the life guard for that team. he makes smart plays and knows how to run a good offense. when amare got hurt the suns went deeper in the playoffs so i doubt amare would hurt the team that much. i'm not so sure about marion and barbosa probably wouldn't make a big difference.

Tie between Nash and Stoudemire. Nash is a given and doesn't need explaining.

As for Stoudemire; yes they won 50 games without him two seasons ago. Unlike two seasons ago they now have no players capable of filling in for Stoudemire. Tim Thomas is not there, Boris Diaw has regressed/been figured out, Kurt Thomas is in Seattle, etc.

The team's interior depth is basically nonexistent at this point.

Tim Thomas did nothing but shoot 3's, which they have in abundance already, Diaw is still very serviceable, and Kurt Thomas was injured during their playoff run to the WCF. Nash >>>>>>>> Amare
