This is awesome - its the only time I've heard Ricky Bobby (or more specifically his dad) quoted in support of an argument.

Russell is lucky to be in a top 40 list

Kareem is somewhere around 11-14

Duncan is around 15-18

That puts Magic, Bird, Wilt, Jordan, and Shaq ahead of him. Malone is easily top 8 all-time.

Malone > Duncan

Kareem has more career points, blocks, rebounds, assists, shot a better feild goal percentage, and has RINGS. Malone has a better career scoring average, by .4. Whoopie.

Kid, I watched Kareem in his prime. You didn't. The most recent players you have witnessed are probably today's crop of stars. Learn basketball, then come back.

Son, if you REALLY have seen the skyhook like I did, you would already know how deadly that is. You have failed to realized that by stating Malone is much better offensive player than Kareem. I've doubt you did watch Kareem in his prime. Most posters here already know you are just a silly kid who has Malone posters everywhere in your little baby bedroom.

Notice that he started to decline during the 80's, and his inflated stats were gone.

In 85/86 Kareem scored 23.4 ppg on 56% FG in 33 mpg. And he was 38 years old. That is a dominant offensive player.

The 90s, well after around '93, are so overrated. You take Michael Jordan off the Bulls and they win 55 games and are within a bucket of the ECF whereas you take Shaq off of the Lakers and they cant get out of the 1st round.

You say it is an accomplishment for the Jazz to even get out of the West then but your argument was because of Jordan. Jordan was in the East, he had nothing at all to do with the West playoffs.

The West today is heads and shoulders above where it was in the 90s, it isnt even close. Todays West is better than any conference, ever. And Duncan wins that thing every year. It took a great, great team and a great play by a great player in Dallas to knock the Spurs off one year.

It isnt even really close. Duncan is dominant on the block, dominant as a passer, and doesnt have John Stockton setting him up. He has a shoot 1st PG in Tony Parker. And when you factor in defense, where Duncan is an all time great and Malone is just not really a factor, you see that Duncan easily dominates Malone as the greatest PF of all time.

It really isnt even close.
