Default Your Ideal Offense

If you were to put together a realistic team, at what positions do you put your super stars and where do you put your role players and weakneses? Basically you got 50 ability points to divy out amongst your starting 5.

I think most would go with the dominant big man as the main option of offense. Good perimeter players are also vital, and so is good point guard play. I go:

pg- 10
sg- 15
sf-4
pf-4
c- 17

the trouble with that math is that Jordan = 50 points alone...but you are right.

Superstars if I had to choose only 2. The superstars would be a center and a pass first PG. I know I would want a PG similar to John Stockton. Stockton did what you needed from a superstar PG. Passing was obvious, shooting, defense, and he was equally well at the half court game as he was in the open court. He wasn't a scoring PG, but when you needed him to score, he would do that very well. If I had to look at a PG in today's game, i'd look at Jason Kidd as the superstar PG.

My SG would be a deadeye shooter that can run the floor and defend. If Mike Miller played good defense, he would be my SG.

My SF would be the athletic power perimeter player that can rebound, defend, and attack the basket at will Someone like Corey Maggette, although i'm kinda being bias because Maggette's one of my favorite players.

My PF would be the one cleaning up the glass, rebound, defend, and can hit the 15 foot jumpshot. It's hard to pick a PF from today's game because so many of them are all-star level PFs. I guess my PF would be Udonis Haslim because I can't really think of anyone else that would fit in with the players that I'm picking

All-time, I'd use Prime Shaq, but in today's game, I'd use Duncan.

C- Tim Duncan
F- Udonis Haslim
F- Corey Maggette
G- Mike Miller
G- Jason Kidd

I think that line-up along with a decent 2nd unit would win a Championship pretty quick.

Stockton and Malone baby! pick and roll all day. Malone is my center just to let you know. I can change the 15 to pf so you understand better but this is easier imo, C = big man :P The sg got 10 so he could make the open shots and clutch threes, and I still got stockton as a clutch shooter ;)

Ultimate Offense.

That would have been sweet.

Imagine if he had Reggie Miller as a spot up shooter and clutch shooter in his regular utah team with Karl Malone. That would have been killing.

Or replace Byron Scott with Glen Rice(probably the most underrated player in history). Someone with a little bit of size that is deadly.

Kobe, Ford, Sheed, and Howard coming off the bench. Chemistry would be great.
