Same here. They did that for us because they said we were dressing "inappropriately" at the time.

Your parents sound like ****tards. Not allowing you to view partially naked women as well as forcing you to become a doctor. Sucks.

So it's not a matter of time. It's a matter of discipline and focus. You still got 6-7 hours of your own with homework factored in- plenty of time for whatever you want to do.

Looking back I wish I had focused a little more in HS. Especially in History classes.

But don't get caught in that trap of devoting 4 hours of studying to each day. It's excessive. Work smarter not harder. Just make studying a habit and pay attention- if you do as much as that there's almost no way you don't come out with a 4.0 or near it with plenty of time to spare.

This is exactly how I feel. Some of my friends feel it's necessary to stay up till 3 in the morning to study for the math test when they'll be zombies by the time they have to take it. If you pay attention and work hard, there's no need for excessiveness. I'll probably finish my homework and shyt easily during the week but it's just a rule I can't use the comp during school weeks.

Nah, my parents are actually nice. They just want me to be a doctor preferably.

You really do have strict parents.
Hopefully by 10th grade you should be able to stand up to them, tell them what you want to major, use the comp as you wish, and watch porn as u wish.

I never had parents that restricted me on anything.. so I find it hard to watch when I see other kids' freedom get taken away, and they're forced into doing majors they dont want to. If you aren't good in math and science, doing medical will be a pain. Many years of pain. It's your life, do what you want.

You'll thank your parents later for that. To have NO rules is almost a bad thing. I kinda wish someone would give me a swift kick in the behind sometimes, but that would be pointless for my folks to do b/c I'm 25 and I would probably laugh at them (yes I live at home--I know someone is gonna be all over me for that )

I'm brown as well, so that's a factor in their behavior. But still, I don't think they are that strict, some people's parents let their kids do whatever and it ends up being negative for them so I know their doing their job when my friends say "your moms real strict" or whatever.

Also the only way I will do anything medicine related when I'm older is probably just try to get the degree for my dad's sake. But I definitely won't practice.

True.

One of my classmates at college had parents that let him lived in their finished basement, and go out whenever he wanted without a curfew. They also didn't question anything when it came to him drinking. He liked to brag to people about how he wasn't supervised by his parents. Guess where the classmate is now?

Your age isn't the average age on this forum. The reality is that most of the people that post here are between the ages of 14 and 19. So there's nothing wrong with a topic like this (other than the fact that it's in the main forum :)).
