Actually, cynic, the dunk draws people to the game. No other sport can allow the grace and creativity of a human being in 'full flight.' So while it seems arbitrary to you, the dunk for many people can be a simple appeal that draws one in to a much more complicated and exciting sport. Go rub one out or something.

It is obvious the generation that is voting when Jason Richardson gets top 5.
Cause there should be no way in hell shawn kemp is not top 5.
The guys dunks in game could of sometimes been dunks done in dunk contests, and the fact some of these dunks were done in peoples faces it probably would of won dunk contests.

My vote is for Shawn Kemp
