Yea there has been evidence he pleaded guilty to the charges... doesn't seem like something an innocent man in his position would do. Obviously the feds had overwhelming evidence of the fact. 20 refs, most casino??? Casino or no casino a ref shouldn't be putting money on sports. I love to gamble, hell I'm born and raised in Vegas, but I'm not reffing pro sport games cause the conflict of interest there is far to great to even risk it. I wonder how much Donaghy made on this game
Yesterday I was watching the Cubs/Cardinals baseball game. The umpire missed a call at the plate and had questionable called third strikes. The game is rigged right?
No, people have to level their expectations. All umpires/refs/officials miss calls in all sports. In the NBA it is the most magnified, and arguably, with no instant replay, the calls are the hardest to make as the game is so fast.
We all know he pleaded guilty. Is there any evidence of any other referee fixing games? Is there?
No, there is not. Give it up. You people that think any questionable call was a fix are fu*king stupid. You people really are. Idiots.
Do you know how many bad calls are made in an NBA game? We need better reffing in general. Those games were probably rigged. Whether there was money on the line or not, the 1st one shows the refs wanted the Cavs to at least look good.

Can't believe some of the blind loyalty being displayed here. What do you think that Donaghy made a plea with the fed to reveal 20 refs that were involved strictly in Casino, non-NBA games. The feds don't care about that ****. When they build a case they are looking to go deeper into it and catch others that were involved in similar activity in exchange for a lesser sentence on the person they catch red-handed. Anyone that knows basic law knows that. I'm simply putting out examples of horrendous officiating. Not just Kobe but the Suns and Pistons (two teams I hate). Bottom line is I think every team in the NBA should get equal treatment and nothing is more grievous than refs betting on games. Is absolute proof there yet? Nope. Does tat mean I can't make my own evaluations on different games that I think are fixed. Nope. I'm not telling you to agree with me but look at the clips, decide for yourself. At the very least these games were horribly officiated throughout.

Co-sign.
The league has bad officiating in general so you can't be saying every game that has bad calls is fixed.
Yes, I realize it's hard to ref an NBA game. But at least in the NFL they have teams of refs that are harshly scrutinized when they make a bad call. These teams of refs have to actually make a come-up similar to anybody trying to make a name for themselves in sports, movies or in life. The NBA loves to keep the same referees for years and years. It needs to change.
ppl comon, there's only one crooked ref in the nba???
NO, you guys have no idea of the obscenity behind big money sports if you think theres only one crooked ref
one got caught, but theres more...
If they findout there's a group of crooked refs fixing games for a longtime, the whole business will be done--- so of course they'll say theres only one and he only fixed a few games... No ppl, theres many if them and many games were fixed

The leagues policy for refs is NO gambling. What he turned over to attorneys about the 20 co-employees was betting on the super-bowl. Not fixing games. Not spread padding. Not giving roster info to bookies before a game. It was betting on the Superbowl.
