I think too many of you are having a hard time visualizing this cause of the name Michael Jordan.
Think of it this way; the consensus top two prospects in 2006 were LaMarcus Aldridge and Andrea Bargnani.
Brandon Roy started the '05-'06 NCAA season as a mid first round prospect.
Yes, by draft day Brandon Roy was considered a top 5 guy. However, he was also considered to a finished product who would be the best player in that class for three or four seasons then get passed by the rest of the guys.
It took an amazing regular season, the NCAA tournament, and competitive predraft workouts were he flat out killed guys for Roy to make that leap.
Roy is about 25 lbs heavier than Mike was, has more range, goes left better, and shown flashes of PG skills. While Roy is not a Jordan level athlete Roy did test very well at the Draft Combine.
Jordan would have a shot at top 5 or top 10. However, he would really have the odds stacked against him.
