Who gives a **** about soccer? It's just a whole lot of running, tripping, flopping and pretending like you're injured. Give me a real sport like crocodile wrestling.

Back to topic. I think Becks needs a rest if he really needs one. He has 5 years in Galaxy and I don't want his ankle injury cut his career in MLS short so he could spend the rest of the days sitting in his Hollywood home counting money.

Most of the world also follows some sort of BS religion, as well. I feel sorry for all those people who were raised and brainwashed into watching boring as hell soccer.

Soccer players are not nearly as dedicated as ball players.

Ball work ethics> Soccer work ethics

Ok, let's say the Nuggets for example had a game the day after the WBC's in Asia last year and Carmelo had a bad ankle. He plays the full 40 minutes in the game[compare this to 90+], do you think he would make the flight back to the US to play a full 48[compare this to 90+ again] for his Nuggets while having said bad ankle? I highly doubt it.

Beckham played 3 full games within a span of 6 days if I'm not mistaken. That's 270+ minutes on the pitch, a flight to NY, to England, back as well on a BAD ankle.
