Watching the USA vs. VI game, and the USA vs. Venezuela games, it's starting to look like a D1 college team against a D3 high school team. I'm not a professional basketball player, but playing on one of those two teams would just be frustrating. Imagine coaching it.
Focus: If you were the VI coach, what would you tell your team before the game after watching the U.S. destroy a higher ranked Venezuela team? What would you tell your team while getting blown out for Venezuela and VI? What about after the game?
'Right guys, they maybe the most talented team in the world, but remember, we are just young and upcoming players and I frankly don't care how much we lose by, the only thing I care about is that you guys show you can defend and score, run our team's plays smoothly, get rebounds as best as possible. The key thing here today is run through the playbook and defend. Good luck guys."
Damnit, I lost 10 grand betting that you guys would lose by less than 40 points.
