He's called Larry Legend.

You'd expect more from him, but maybe he's on to something. Watch I bet if he makes a great move everyone will say he's a genious as gm.

Larry Bird has said before that he would be offended if a white guy guarded him. He always looked like a racist too. Anyway i am going to watch one of his games now, classic let me know if you want the link.

Just cause a lot of people say it doesn't mean its true.

If that was the case Andrew Bogut would be a top five center.

KO, I hjave to disagree when you say that firing Thomas was a bad move. The fact of the matter is that Indy got upset by a Celtics team that they should have beaten. Under Carlisle they made the Conference finals after being upset in the first round under Thomas. It was wrong to lie to O'Neal but there is no doubt that Carlisle is a superior coach to Thomas. Isaiah Thomas has done nothing to show himself to even be an average coach.

Bird fired Thomas because of a personal beef, not because he was a bad coach and he lied to JO on top of that but hey I'm glad he did because the Spurs would already have 200 rings with JO over there and they'd still be dominant for 5 more years at least.

But it's not like they're not winning rings without JO either

I know you're opinion on Thomas as a coach so I see no point in debating that. You can not be swayed on that matter.

However, let's make the situation a Celtic one. This is a pre-KG and Ray scenario.

Paul Pierce is a free agent. Doc Rivers is the coach and while you aren't sold on his ability as a coach the improvement of the players, individually and as a group, are undeniable.

Paul comes to you and talks about how much he likes Doc. Goes so far as to say he's a father figure and wants assurance that Doc will be his coach.

Would you man up and admit you are considering other options or would you lie and say Doc is your guy, have Doc attend the re-signing press conference,
fire Doc less than a month later, and then sit there dumbfounded when it all blows up in your face?

He's a solid GM. It's just that damn crazy fool Ron Artest messed up his whole gig. And they'd be better off with a more consistent PG then Jamaal Tinsely.

How are these trades bad? Artest had to go and Peja is an insane shooter. It's not like soemone was going to trade the Pacers a superstar for this headcase, he got what he could get it was just unfortunate that Peja didn't want to stay there.

The Golden State trade certainly didn't pay dividends last season and I hate Dunleavy but Murphy is a guy who averages a double-double and is a very good all-around player. Stephen Jackson is nothing special and Troy Murphy is a better rebounder than Al Harrington and they are pretty similar players (neither plays defense)

Al Harrington's Career
13 ppg 5.8 rpg 1.9 apg

Troy Murphy's Career
11.2 ppg 8.0 rpg 1.3 apg

I don't see the Golden State deal as a bad trade just not a great one, the trade was pretty even.

That's why after it happened the Pacers sunk like a rock out of the playoff discussion and the Warriors soared into the 8th seed and the second round.

And it's inarguable that the players that GS got have more upside... and better contracts.

The Pacers traded 2 starter quality players for MAYBE 1. that's all there is to it. and got raped economically in the process.

Larry Bird likes the two white guys he got. Maybe he thinks they can be good players in the East. They just need a decent point guard in my opinion because they were losing WITH Harrington and Stephen Jackson.

Don't you get it? they suck! Bird sucks at this so bad unless he's not really trying.

He could have done so many things right, but he never really got a good play for JO after Miller left.
