132-129 Canada in a triple-overtime thriller.
Samuel Dalembert hits the game winning three to give him 50 points.

In all seriousness, Canada needs to improve their defense if they want to have a chance in this game.

4th game in 4 days for Canada. Canada should just rest their main players and basically give up. There is no point going hard in a game that you can't win in the first place. Whether you lose by 10 or by 70 it's still only one loss and that's how you have to look at this game.

What is the tournament structure here anyways? How many teams "move on"?

All I know is that after this week, the worst team from both brackets get eliminated.

They need to improve their defense if they want a chance in other games. They can improve every aspect of basketball by 50% and they still wouldn't beat the US.

So that won't be Canada (either Venezuela or VI right in that group).

This is going to be an easy win for USA but not as easy as the other two. If Nash was playing then things would be more entertaining. Kidd vs. Nash that would be sick. Well the USA finally has a post presense that they have to worry about now, but I'm pretty sure they will get Dalembert into foul trouble.

Worst team in each of the two groups gets eliminated after the preliminaries. 8 of the 10 move on to the second round.

Each team in the second round plays all four teams from the opposing group. The field is narrowed to 4 after round two.

These 4 play in the semi finals, and the two winners play in the finals to determine first/second place.

Actually, losing by 10 or 70 really does matter in this format. If Canada has the same record as someone else, they look at point differential.

Thus meaning if you can "only" lose by 10, you should go for that instead of losing by 30+

After a team chock full of MLB legends lost to a bunch of Single A kids, I learned to not take anything for granted when it comes to American national sports teams.
