You'd have overpayed both of them. Anyone who plays with Shaq becomes instantly overrated.

Esp. since Posey probably wanted a bigger deal than what BOS gave him from MIA.

Riley from the jump said that he really had no desire to re-sign either....

And given the fact that the Heat up aganist the tax...Posey and Kapono simply weren't players worth going well into the tax for..Marginally talented role players. Altough Posey at 3.5 million for three years isn't a bad price...

And PG depth was a far more greater concern then the wing depth so that's why Riley opted to go with Smush on the cheap....

The Heat finally will have no choice but to play Dorrell Wright.

Which is good for them since they need to find out how good he will be and that wouldn't happen with Posey still there.

A contributing Dorrell Wright could be the jolt of youth, energy and athleticism that the Heat sorely need.

If the Heat really want to get someone similar to replace Posey down the line during the season, they can swap out Michael Doleac for Trenton Hassell, since Minnesota is in rebuilding mode and would like to clear more cap space (since Doleac is an expirer, while Hassell has some years left on his deal).

Haslem is so getting traded at the deadline for an expirer.

The Heat will have CAPSPACE next year if they do so.

Gilbert Arenas? Antawn Jamison? Anyone else the Heat might want?

Tell me Gil Arenas wouldn't want to play with Shaq and Wade for a couple years?

Ohh man, they're going to run the East. Posey is no nobody. Excellent signing.

You add a defensive minded wing with championship experience, who can hit the open three at a more than decent clip...

Nothing about there bench can be said...Eddie House, Tony Allen(healthy), James Posey, Brian Scalabrine, Scott Pollard and possibly contirbutions from draft picks in Gabe Pruitt and Big Baby Davis is a more than forminable bench, especailly considering when your team already features a starting that includes Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett.

No reason as to why the should not win the title. Anything else is (barring a catostrophic injury) is a drastic failure.

Excuse me?

You can bold Tony Allen as well as he comes off of post-whistle dunk surgery.

Great signing for them... Glen Davis and Perkins will have to step up for them tough, as they're pretty thin in the paint.

I'd love to get a tough defensive minded 4 that can hit the boards.
