No way. Horry is the ultimate bench player to have. Posey is no where near him.

James Posey is a better basketball player than Robert Horry.

Feels so good to be a Celtics fan right now.

We bring in a lock down defender at the 2-3 with championship experience to back up Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.

PP/RA/JP when is the last time a 2-3 trio existed that was this good?

Pg-Rondo/House/Pruitt
SG-Ray Allen/Posey/TA*
Sf Paul Pierce/Posey/Scalabrine
Pf-Kg/Powe/BBD
C-Perkins/Pollard

NBDL
Jackie Manuel
Brandon Wallace

*Once Tony Allen gets healthy, which could be mid to late November our bench looks like this

PG House
Sg Allen
Sf Posey
Pf Powe
C Pollard

Thats not too shabby at all.

We should strongly consider the following players and cut Manuel though:

Gary Payton-Available if he wants another ring he will come, play 50 games or so and be ready to go come playoff time.

Damon Stoudamire- If he is bought out and wants a ring he will be welcomed.

Sam Cassell- See Damon

Anthony Johnson- Hawks might not want him and he would help.

Earl Boykins- Not the ideal fit but wouldn't hurt for cheap.

rajon rondo man. he's like a speedier jason kidd (obviously not that great but similar in playing style). he's got no jumpshot but that shouldn't matter because he's a good enough passer to find the open guys if they pack the lane.

It'll be interesting to see if he is mentally ready for running the show for a championship contender.

Amazing signing this was. Now any doubt about the Celtics not being a 60+ win team are put to rest. Good luck to them.

People have been talking about that guy's J really hurting the team.... but I don't see it. What's going to happen at the worst? People going under picks? Rondo will still be able to get in the lane regardless.

Yep, Jackie Manuel's going back to the D-League.

As for a point guard, Dan Dickau's probably about to be bought out in New York. He could be had for cheap if the C's don't want to go further into the luxury tax but I'd want any of the guards on bomber's list over him.
