Default 2008 Eastern Conference Playoffs

Just thought of the playoff seeding next year in the east and i started getting really confused about who will make the playoffs. but i finally came up with a list

1. Bulls (58 wins-Division winner)
2. Pistons (55 wins)
3. Heat (51 wins-Divison winner)
4. Celtics (51 wins-Divison winner)
5. Cavs (48 wins)
6. Magic (45 wins)
7. Raptors (42 wins)
8. Nets (41 wins)

i have the knicks and wizards barely missing the playoffs. so tell me what you think or make your own list

No way Wizards miss the playoffs behind Arenas...unless he gets injured. And the Heat will not win 50.

Nets an 8th seed? They will be one of the better teams. Kidd is still hungry for a win, Krstic is coming back, they have added Jamaal Magloire, they got the steal of the draft Sean Williams and Vince Carter has been training since May.

1.Detroit Pistons
2.New Jersey Nets
3.Boston Celtics
4.Miami Heat
5.Cleveland Cavaliers
6.Chicago Bulls
7.Orlando Magic
8.Toronto Raptors

Watch out for the Nets they will suprise a lot of people. They got the 6th seed with Krstic missing 60 games and Jefferson missing 30. They have also helped their problem in the frontcourt by adding Jamaal Magloire and the steal of the draft Sean Williams.

haha I dont know but it wont be the Wizards for sure. They wont 41 last year with Arenas missing the last 9 games...and Butler missing a lot of games. Arenas should be a better player this year..if hes healthy, they are a lock for the PO

The Nets won 41 games and RJ missed 30 games, Krstic missed 60 game sand the Nets have improved this summer so it won't be the Nets missing the playoffs.

1. Celtics

3. Pistons
4. Cavs
5. Heat

Gets hard after this...

6. Raptors
7. Nets
8. Bucks

To me, the five best teams are locked (not in order 1-5, but in terms of which teams will be those five). After that it's wide open. The Raptors, Nets, Bucks, Wizards, Knicks, Magic all will be competing for those final spots, and it will probably come down to team health for the most part.

Nets are getting really underrated since Boston. They have one of the best starting 5s in the East (arguably the best), and improved their bench through the draft.

About the Nets: Vince Carter is solid a regular season player. When it comes to the playoffs, he lacks the maturity and mental toughness to play in the clutch. The X factor for them is Jefferson, and Kidd is consistantely great for what he does: pass, rebound, and defend.

With all the teams in the east getting better this offseason, and the Nets barely doing anything, they will miss the playoffs. You can quote me on that.

1. Chicago (52 Games)
2. Detroit (49 Games)
3. Boston (47 Games)
4. Washington (45 Games)
5. Cleveland (46 Games)
6. Orlando (45 Games)
7. New York (42 Games)
8. Miami (40 Games)
