Default One Rocket

If you could start your own NBA franchise, and had to pick 1 Rocket as the centerpiece...who would you pick?

Who would be your MVP? Who is the Rockets MVP?

i think it has to me Yao...
although i think Tmac has the ability to take over games moreso than Yao, his injuries would make it difficult to have the confidence that he can be there to help his team on the court.

In two years Yao will also be the most dominant player in the league.

yea i would do yao. even thought i love t-mac. yao is the best center in the nba and he's still young. plus its always good to have a good center before anything else.

^ Yao's one year younger than McGrady, which doesn't make him all that young. Eh, I don't know about this one. I would take McGrady right now. IMO, Yao'll never progress, assuming he doesn't get back from that injury, he won't be any better than he is right now, which obviously isn't bad, but no where near dominance-level. If we were to run the Adelman offense (say the Princeton O) then I would land Mac in a heartbeat. A couple shot-selection adjustments, then he'll be set. Just MO.

Yao is basically just as injury prone as T-mac.

I would choose T-mac. He is better at taking over games and stepping up in late game situations. He can do almost anything on the court and is an above average defender.

I think the sound choice would be to build aroun Ming..

Yao is that untangible player that everyone would want to get their hands on..

whoever I choose regardless of any player, i should get my head examined because I dont know how to differentiate the terms "choose" and "chose". And i'll probably stop smoking that crack next week. Still enjoying life.
