That's 9 teams alone whom are all in the dicsussion and are all inarguably better teams..Then you have Milwaukee and New York whom could be in the dicussion as well...

That Pacers team is ridiclously flawed, and you know J.O will miss his 15-20 games as is...And now that Jim O'Brien is there with his inefficient bombs away offense(Carlisle is a better coach, period)....I certainly don't see them as a playoff contender barring a catostrophic injury to the teams aforementioned...

Throw in Charlotte Bobcats

His offenses aren't good but his teams don't underachieve and at times go far better than anyone would have thought possible. Few coaches could have got that Pierce/Walker duo within two wins of the Finals.

The hell are you talking about? Their defense is good, it's their offense that hurts them.

You haven't even seen them play yet? WTF are you talking about? Talk in the future, supposed tense, not in the past tense as we've never seen this team play.

Jim O'Brien is running a three second offense with a lot of jacked up threes.

They have Troy Murphy and Mike Dunleavy.

Just gonna guess that their D won't be good... just a hunch.

With all due respect to the Pacers, it would have to be a miracle season. Every team has a chance, but there's is smaller than pretty much all others. I really think they should trade JO in a way that at least gives them a bright future.

The Pacers aren't making the playoffs unless JO averages 30 12 4 and Granger averages 20 5 4. So basically they aren't.

JO will average like 22 ppg on 47 % shooting, 10 rpg and 2.5 bpg.
Granger will be at 16 ppg and 5 rpg.
Murphy will contribute with 12 ppg and 7 rpg.
Dunleavy will be solid with 13 ppg
Rush will become their 6th man and average 10 ppg
Daniels will be very nice off the bench.
Diogu will show signs of life.
Diener will be nice off the bench and Tinsley will run the point well in a fast paced offense.

Prepare to be surprised.

And to the guy who thinks O'Brien will destroy the Pacers defense, we"ll just see about that.
O'Brien preaches up tempo and 3pt shooting but he also preaches defense and with a DPOY caliber big man on their roster I can't see the Pacers being a bad defensive team, even with all those matadors.

A lot of things need to fall in place but you"ll just see, now that JO is finally healthy he"ll lead them to the playoffs again because as it's been proven the last 7 years or so, JO in the east = playoffs.

Better believe it you hacks.

that's a franchise that desparately needs to rebuild around their few younger talents...and do everything possible to dump the contracts of JO, Tinsley, Murphy, & Dunleavy.

they should do the deal w LA wherein LA sends Bynum/Kwame/Filler for JO, but force the deal to be expanded to include Tinsley as a contract dump.

true. that's why he is one of worst GMs. can't believe he acquired those ugly contracts of Murphy & Dunleavey. What did end up with for Artest? Basically he traded Artest, Al Harrington & Steven Jackson for ????
