Default Since Wesley is likely to...

Since David Wesley is likely to be signed by the Cavs, what are our chances of doing a sign and trade with him for Damon Jones. He is a younger player whose own game would benefit in our system with a dominating center and a superstar player like T-mac. His numbers from downtown will probably improve back to his days with Miami.
What do you guys think?

He could be a decent fit with the rockets. He doesn't have the handles to play pg and is too undersized to play SG but the way the rockets system works, he could play just because he can shoot 3's. I would rather just sign John Lucus, but hey..who knows what the Rocekts will do. I just want to win!

just think about it the cavs signed him to hit 3's and he struggled drastically plus he doesn't play any d and jvg ain't having that. Guard play is too strong in the league for us to go that route.

i think luther is basically the same as wesley...but without the veteran leadership, which we could miss.... but still, on a skill note, i dont think he brought things to the table that cannot be substitued

thats not to say that he was bad, but i dont think its a huge deal that we lose wesley....

getting d jones may be detrimental...he jacks up too many wild 3's. and sure he makes them fairly regularly...but still....Houston doesnt need him....i think.

You also have to take into consideration that when Damon Jones had his success he was playing with the Heat. There system was basically role players around 2 superstars. Hmmm isn't that very similar to our system. Another coincedence is that he played for our head coach's little brother stan.

I think it would be able to work!
